Unfortunate that they lie about their return policy. Marshalls used to be so much better years ago, now it's gone downhill.

Great clothing with decent quality. Wish they had more in stock as they sell out average sizes fast or get to few of them in. Size 8 or 28 waist for woman, hard to find. Overall always worth the chance. Employees, always friendly.

The racial profiling here isn't meant to deter theft, it's meant to deter blacks from shopping. This is not the first review of this nature, nor will it be the last. Many times I've shopped here and been followed by aimless employees shuffling through the rack I'm on or standing 2 feet next to me staring at me then at the ceiling. They've been white non Hispanic, white Hispanic, Asian, and black and white biracial employees. But a year ago there was an awesome team of a store manager blonde white woman, a bald white man, and a kind African black man that were genuinely kind to me, I came back so much so I shopped enough to sign up for the Credit Card! With them around I chose to believe there were just a few bad apples.Yesterday afternoon I got to experience the most aggressive profiling I've ever had! All right at Marshalls in Lacey Washington.Employee 1 greeted me and seemed to happily answer my questions about after Christmas clearance. Employee 1 and Employee 2 both shared there was valentines day stock out now, however. Everything seemed fine at this point. That same employee 2 went on to glare at me following me face to face on the other side of the rack. Every step I took to the right he/they took to the right. No coversation, no shuffling though the rack, no ceiling staring: just glaring at me.I looked for a black cashmere sweater and that same employee 2 came over and stood there. Not folding not, not straightening just again glaring at me.I went to look at the women's athletic clothes and employee 3 shopped through a rack across from me and as I neared the same rack he/they was/were shuffling/. He let out a sarcastic "oh sorry I'm in you're way" followed by a smirk. He/They moved a couple racks down and stared at me.I went to the fitting room.Employee 4 greeted me and gave me a numbers soon as I got in to the fitting room, that employee began sliding a swiffer broom under the wall of a neighboring fitting room.Cleaning is standard procedure sure, but I've never had someone sweep the fitting room I'm trying on clothes in while I'm still in it.thankfully I stepped out of the way before my shoes got covered in the dust.My benefit of the doubt self still overlooked these as individuals with issues rather than a Marshalls anti-black commitment. So I went to the checkout with what fit: a navy robe with pink piping, a groovy Christmas sweater and some much needed Clinique makeup remover.I patiently waited in line listening to the checkstand full of cashiers greet every customer "hi how are you today" etc.I walked up and employee 5 wouldn't say anything to me.She/They had just greeted and conversed with a previous non-black customer. No hello, no "do you need a bag" (which I didn't as I had reusables). She wouldn't make eye contact.I smiled patiently and waited 2 minutes. Instead she continued to talk to non-black coworkers (who also offered no customer service to anyone black) while ringing the items I put on the counter. That's when I decided, if you're only capable of greeting white skinned people, you're probably only interested in white skinned people's green dollars.I left their items right at the checkstand and quietly pushed my cart toward where I'd gotten itEmployee 1 smirked, met me halfway to the cart return area and said "I'll take that [cart]." and sarcastically said "have a nice day".I smiled, shook my head, said aloud "ok Marshall's I got it you don't want black customers" and walked myself across the street to Kohl's where customer service is provided for black people and white people alike.I don't know if Marshalls is an official sponsor for the Norwest Front or if it's just that usual Thurston County commitment, but I do know I'll never be back. :)Thank you, Marshalls of Lacey for insight!

It's okay. The cat stuff is lacking, unfortunately. Markdowns could be better.

I never walk out of Marshalls empty handed. I always find good stuff to buy. If you are a first time shopper there, you might find it overwhelming but once you know how the store is set up, it's easy to navigate through the racks.

You know my overall shopping experience was pretty average at this Marshalls in Lacy Washington. The fitting room attendant was extremely rude. She made it very clear that she had a long day & her shift was almost over "Thank God"Upon checking out the cashier that I interacted with was so sweet & went above and beyond your normal cashier expectations. (Her name is Heather)I was having an off day and I was extremely emotional and she was very kind and understanding and helped accommodate all my needs. It's really nice to see somebody go out of their way to provide great customer service.
