This place is a joke! They double billed my copay even though I have the receipt! They want me to pay again! Seems like something shady going on either at the front desk or billing! And the person I spoke to was extremely rude and not helpful! I'll never go back

Clarus Eye Centre was awsome for my caterac surgery, however, the Anesthesia service they contract with Rigleman Aneshesia Services will charge you $495.00 for 5 mg valiume! Watch out for the surprise bill 6 weeks after your proceedure!

I cannot say it loud enough. Dr. Grillo has changed my life. I am so grateful for his dedication and excitement for changing the world for (I'm sure) all of his clients. (Although, he does make me believe that I am his only patient)

Was extremely unsatisfied with the care at the front desk. Doctors and nurses were ok. Told them I would be leaving their service and asked for a copy of my charts. They refused. After some argument, they gave me a copy of mine and my daughter's charts without ever confirming who I was. I asked if that was acceptable practice to hand out confidential medical information without proof of ID and they all started shaking and stuttering. I took out records and left. My wife is a medical provider and she says this place is unacceptable as far as patient care and confidentiality.

Clarus incorrectly billed my insurance carrier. Although they said the mistake will be cleared up, it’s been over two months and the are still sending me bills for what I shouldn’t pay.Even before going to them for contacts, I had experienced long wait times, no call backs, and wasn’t even able to secure appts.>>Stay away from Clarus as they seem to be too busy for their own business and your own good.>Update: they contacted me and cleared up their error.

I'm a patient at clarus with my regular insurance. I'm also a patient with a LNI claim I let them know every single time I'm in its on LNI and every time they bill to my insurance and the balance to me. I have had to contact them every time that it's LNI not myself and get the oh we will take care of that for you. Yet here we are again wasting my time because most of the time billing doesn't answer the phone and wants me to leave a message which never ever called back This eye center is shady at best and still not answering the phone or returning a call to me.I have to add to this review. I received a response to my previous post about incorrect billing and leaving messages that nobody responds to and the unanswered phone calls and constantly have to contact regence my insurance about this constant problem that has not been fixed and seems like it probably won't be fixed. But But response says we will look into this matter and correct it. Still no return call billing still doesn't answer the phone AND THEY STILL DON'T RETURN CALLS AFTER LEAVING A MESSAGE WITH ALL DETAILS AND ACCOUNT NUMBER ALONG WITH MY PHONE NUMBER WITH YES WITH THE CORRECT ZIP CODE 360 SEE ? THERE IT IS!!!I HAVE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT IN A FEW DAYS TO BAD MY DR SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT HE'S DOING TO BAD HIS COMPANY IS SO SHADY.. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE SAVE YOUR TIME IT WILL BE SO MUCH EASIER. Once again clairus is billing me incorrectly once again I try to contact them and once again I received no response from them or will just get hung up on. I will never understand how a business can run like this. I feel that I need to bill them for my wasted time after my appointments. I cannot express how bad their service is. ABSOLUTELY HORRY BEYOND BELIEF. STAY AWAY FROM CLAIRUS UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR TIME...TRYING TO CONTACT THEIR BILLING DEPARTMENT AND GET CONSTANTLY BILLED INCORRECTLY.

Dr. Aaker really knows his stuff and tells it like it is, and very nice. Donna was so pleasant, informative and helpful. All the techs are professional and friendly. I leave with feeling that the staff cares.

I chose Clarus for bilateral cataracts and have been disappointed by Dr. Reck on three visits. I developed a bacterial infection in my right eye and Dr. Reck did not prescribe oral antibiotics, or prescribe eye drops. My cataract appt. was canceled for the infected eye when the infection didn't clear up. Dr. Reck gave me a referral to a specialist who can't see me until December. I met with Dr. Reck on my surgery day for the left eye, but I canceled to get a different lens. On that visit Dr. Reck did not prescribe oral antibiotics after I told him that his referral doctor couldn't see me. 6 weeks later I have a systemic infection in my eye duct, ear, throat, sinuses, and all with pus. I would use another Dr. who is more responsive to patient needs. I've left messages, but get no response or medication. This is an eye mill. Get 'em in, get 'em out. Very disappointed.

It is sad that Claris in Lacey (on College Avenue) has decided that its ophthalmologists will no longer conduct vision testing or give prescriptions for glasses. Rather, Claris has opted to restrict their ophthalmologists to doing medical exams only, and then sending patients to its optometrists (who are located on Lilly Road in Lacey near Providence Hospital or in Olympia across from the Farmers Market) for vision exams and prescriptions for glasses. To make matters even more interesting, if a patient who is female, women's frames for eyeglasses are to be found mostly at the Lilly Road location and only some women's frames in Olympia across from the Farmers Market. The men's frames are only at the Olympia location.

I visited Clarus Eye Center 4 years ago and had a positive interaction; this was not the case for my appointment yesterday. The receptionist could not find my records which included my insurance information, however, the technician was able to access those records. Rather than hold up all of the other patients standing in line I opted to self-pay and paid with my credit card. I have the receipt. Today I received a bill asking me to pay for services. Now they need a second appointment for cataract evaluation. Very disappointed in this group. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else.

To begin with, Clarus billing practices are questionable. They required 2 office visits for an eye exam (glasses) and diabetic eye exam to be done on separate days or a pay fee. I contacted my insurance company, and they did not have any such requirements. Next, after speaking with the office manager, she waived this fee and setup an appointment for both exams a month later. I showed up for my exams, and I was told my appointments were cancelled without an explanation as to why. Finally, I asked the receptionist to have the office manager call me. I received no call. I've called and left 4 voicemails for her without a return call. I'm done with them.

Friendly skilled staff, they answered all of my questions and I did not feel rushed. Nice office, clean and neat, I look forward to my next appt!!

I went to an eye examination and was told my prescription was literally the same as 2 years prior. I had an Rx that was still valid from 2 years before. I went to pay and was charged an extra 75.00 to determine refractive state. I said my exam was the same, why am I paying this extra charge. They went back to the provider and the charge was removed. I paid my balance and left.Now I am being charged the 75.00 once again. There is no way to contact the billing dept so I emailed the billing Sept explaining this charge was removed the day of service, I received no response. I called the front desk and was told the billing office will call me. No one has called me from the billing office, but I received another bill.I will never go back to this clinic again. They are forcing me to pay something I did not incur and I have no recourse. Absolutely unethical.
