Beautiful views of the river with a huge deck that over looks the Klickitat River! Swimming area literally right next to the Inn with a small, very small boat launch! Friendly service & a great owner! Very well taken care of inn! This is a small Inn but very romantic & a little secluded with a whole lot of places to just relax & enjoy your time!
Nearby activities: Swimming, hiking, bird watching, rock hounding, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, inner tubing … just about anything you desire to do, you’ll be able to accomplish it here, near by or just a short drive!
Safety: They take safety precautions with the deck; there are rails & slats that will help protect animals & children from falling into the river! Rails where needed, ramp for wheelchairs & more!
Walkability: Within walking distance of a small local market, Canyon Market that has just about anything you need from fishing items, pet supplies to food that you can prepare, microwave or even just grab & go! There’s a local Bar, Huntingtons Bar & Grill, The Klickitat Eatery & an amazing Coffee Shop just next to the Canyon Market! There is a gas station with not too bad of prices for gas plus a creamery if you are in serious need of an ice cream fix or a sweet tooth that needs to be handled! And more!
Noteworthy details: Within walking distance of just about anything you need for a quiet & relaxing vacation, even a romantic getaway! Klickitat houses plenty of trails, swimming spots, overlooks & much much more! The staff are extremely knowledgeable about the area & extremely friendly! Attention detail is definitely addressed here!

This is a very clean and comfortable place. It's not a luxury hotel. We are interested in the natural beauty and love the riverside area. Also, Guy was super-helpful.
Food and drinks: The food at Huntington's was quite good!
Noteworthy details: We brought our dog and while there is a pet fee, it went very well.

Ugly town very dirty, overpriced, nothing to do as far as tourism. The guy who ran the place was over the top and very fake, I could tell he hated his life. The deck was nice but that’s the only thing good out of the whole trip. Left with bites of some sort all over my body so I think they may have bed mites. Cleaning lady should probably do a better job! Worst vacation I have ever been on!

We had such an amazing time at the Klickitat River Inn! We were lucky enough to win a stay for two nights and we truly loved our time here. We stayed in Suite #1 and appreciated the fully stocked bathroom and the large kitchen. The bed was really comfortable and has a view of the river from the bed! Our absolute favorite part was the deck! It’s a handmade deck overlooking the Klickitat River. We watched fish jump, ducks float by, and otters play in the water. There’s a private shore bank that you can fish from, you can enjoy a campfire on the deck, and cornhole. It was quiet, safe, and close to hiking trails. We highly recommend staying here!! We will be back!Rooms: The rooms are very comfortable, contain everything you need (bathroom fully stocked, kitchen fully stocked), and have a lot of details!Nearby activities: You can go fishing right on the private shore! There are also lots of hiking opportunities in the area.Safety: We felt totally safe while at the inn.Walkability: You can easily walk to the local coffee shop, steakhouse, and market!

WOW! What an amazing, unexpected little gem. At the end of a residential street, you turn your back on the little town and step into a private oasis. The grounds are attractive. The plethora of loungers, oversized chairs, and assorted tables provide many comfortable options. The large covered deck event space is great for a party of up to 50. The hosts are attentive and work hard to ensure your experience is a memorable one. The main house is cozy with a fireplace in the main room. Sleeps 6. The 4 mini suites are surprisingly very complete, with an actual kitchen. Clean and magazine photo shoot ready.... for every guest. Two blocks away are eating and grocery options. The Klickitat Museum will open upon request for you. The Klickitat Trail, 31 miles long for hiking and biking, is a great way to explore the surrounding scenic beauty. The Wild & Scenic Klickitat River has Salmon runs up it. Native fishing activities can be viewed from Fisher Bridge. Rafting the higher portion above Klickitat and past the Inn is another great way to play during your stay!Nearby activities: Two blocks away are several eating and grocery options. Huntington's Steak House has had a following for decades. Sage Bakery has lovely cinnamon rolls and more. The Klickitat Museum will open upon request for you. The Klickitat Trail, 31 miles long for hiking and biking, is a great way to explore the surrounding scenic beauty. It has a train caboose next to it as the trail goes through town. The Wild & Scenic Klickitat River has Salmon runs up it. Native American cultural fishing activities can be viewed from Fisher Bridge. Bird hunting is a popular sport in the canyons upriver. Rafting the higher portion above Klickitat and past the Inn is another great way to play during your stay!

i stayed for two night with a large group of 12 poeple. We had the main house and 3 of the 4 suites next door. great parking and pet friendly! private river access with incredible views of the sunset hitting the canyon walls. I couldnt of hoped for a better weekend. There was great wifi, and multiple Grills for BBQ. I cant wait to come back later this summer. You can fish right off the deck. this place could easily handle 20 person parties.Rooms: didnt exempt a 4 star hotel room... really it's a small apartment!Walkability: not allot to do in town but the river is great to float, its alittle fast so be careful, but the gorge is only 15 mins out of the canyon and tons of hikes nearby.Food & drinks: the kitchen and grills were superb

We were upstairs with a great view of the amazing deck on the River. I had my morning coffee outside on the deck, watching the river (and world) go by. Great place and Guy went way overboard to help us.

Can not say enough good about this special place. Highly recommend. It was our 40th anniversary which I had mentioned while making reservation. I asked the manager “Guy” to suggest a room for us and he put us in his favorite. Upon checking in we find rose petals strewn about on the bed and pillows with a few balloons and a Happy 40th Anniversary card. Above and beyond in caring. The room itself is very basic. It was extremely clean and well stocked. Bed was very comfortable. BUT the highlight to this wonderful place is the gorgeous, very large deck built nearly on the river. Very nice quality lawn furniture creates many comfortable sitting areas. It’s lighted at night and absolutely perfect. Throw blankets provided on the furniture for cool evenings and morning coffee. It is a very quiet place and the river is so soothing. The caring management was very apparent in every detail of this place. Again, the indoor space is very basic, comfortable and CLEAN. The outdoor space is over the moon. Thank you Guy for a wonderful experience for our 40th. Oh…he took a picture of us, framed and sent it to us. Extraordinary.

Where to start. We stayed in the main house which had all the comforts of home & then some. Although the house was very compfortable we spent most of the time on the patio next to the rock fireplace barbecung & watching the river go by. Making freinds with our host Guy who made sure our every needs were met. I know I'll be back to do a bit of fishing & turkey hunting.Guy is a true artist, you can tell by the way he takes care of the place & puts his decorative touch.Rooms: After walking in the hills looking for turkeys a meal & sleep sounded good. Had to have a little bbq on the patio & a adult beverage or 2, we had Guy join us & found him to be great company.Walkability: couple blocks to the market & a couple more to the bar & steak house. Short drive to hicking trails & some of the most spectacular views you'll ever see.Noteworthy details: The setting was spectacular. My son took me there for my birthday & turkey hunt. Guy was kind enough to give me a nice Klickitat River Inn t-shirt for my birthday. If your lookking for quiet & seclusion or freindly conversation, this is the place for you.

Waking up to this view every day is a blessing and so is winding down there too! Love this little Inn that's remote but actually not that far to get to! Guy was a great host! Thanks!

Since my husband’s recent diagnosis of metastatic colon cancer, getting out of the house for a break has been difficult to plan. We booked a one-night stay 24 hours in advance, and Guy provided us with an amazing stay full of memories. This location is beautifully located right on the river. Our host was accommodating to all our requests - including starting a fire for us in the outdoor fireplace - checking frequently to ensure we had all we needed while we were there. Klickitat is a small little town on the Klickitat River and the Klickitat River Inn is a great little hidden gem. It’s a great stepping-off point for all kinds of water, hiking, and biking activities – or no activities at all. What an amazing location; we will definitely come back when we can!
