9 months in, my wife and I could not be happier with our experiences with the Sound Planning team. They provided the retirement planning solutions that our previous advisor was just not equipped to provide. We are grateful to our previous advisor for getting us through the accumulation phase. Unfortunately, they provided us with none of the answers for entering retirement. Sound Planning answered our questions with detailed answers while fully and transparently disclosing fees. What we particularly appreciated was an in-depth exploration of our risk tolerance with creative plans offered to meet our needs. We highly recommend Sound Planning to anyone looking for professional, competent, customer-focused & ethical retirement and financial planning.

My wife and I (gradually transitioning to retirement) have been clients for four years. In addition to SPG being good portfolio managers (which we had with our previous advisors), SPG is providing us with comprehensive financial advice which has led to a gradual and disciplined restructuring of our assets to lessen our family’s overall long-term tax burden. Joe D. and Loren D. have been great to work with, both are knowledgeable, professional, and responsive, and they don’t hesitate to draw on further specialized expertise within SPG as needed. Since they both are straightforward (and fiduciaries), I have confidence they will make good recommendations on our and our children’s behalf should something happen to either of us. Finally, we appreciate that SPG continuously hosts various events, some just for their clients, and some for the public and community-at-large.

My wife and I attended a free Social Security seminar hosted by SPG many years ago. We were very impressed with their knowledge and passion for Financial Planning. There was zero pressure to sign on with SPG for our Financial Planning, and that was a big plus as well. Once we did, we new we had made the right choice. Now 7 years later, we still receive the same Great Service and attention to our Finances. SPG is a First Class operation with an admin staff who are efficient and effective at communicating with us. The Financial planning services provided by Loren Downs and Joe Duncan have always made us feel very comfortable about our Financial future. SPG not only told us "yes" you can retire, but they made this a reality for us, and we Love it!

Engaged because key primary team members maintain regular contact; invested because the primaries regularly provide status and informational updates; and interested because they ask questions in addition to resonding to our own queries. I've been with SPG for a few years and have been very happy with both my investment performances and the customer service I've received. The main thing I like about their approach is they help you make investment decisions based upon DATA, as much as possible. And their fees are very reasonable. They also offer numerous education services throughout the year. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to grow their portfolio and have a financial partner.

I am pleased to say after working with several members of the team Iam very impressed with their level of expertise.They always stay up to date .I ask lots of questions and I havent stumped them yet. As you can tell we are not the only ones who are truly impressed with Sound Planning Group! Like others, we just went to check out the free Social Security Seminar and came out amazingly impressed. We had no plans to join going in and came out thinking maybe we should talk to them. After meeting with Loren Downs, it was a no brainer that we needed this and signed up right away because like others we wanted to be able to sleep at night and enjoy our retirement not having to worry if we're doing the right thing. They are waaaaayyy more knowledgeable than we could ever be no matter how much we reading and researching we do. We tried but there were more things that we didn't even know about until we started working with Loren. Wow!! Even after 1 year, we are still saying this is the best decision we have ever made. Thank you Loren and all the SPG staff, you are all so amazing and so friendly all the time!! We are so happy!

I have been with SPG for over 6 years…3 years planning my retirement…and over 3 years happily retired! I first engaged with SPG at a few of their free seminars. From those I could immediately tell that these were the people I wanted to manage my money in retirement. My advisor Loren made me feel 100% confident that I could retire, and has encouraged and supported me to do many things in my retirement. I can honestly say I don’t worry about my money, as I know the wonderful staff at SPG is managing it way better than I could ever do.
