They have very good quality food and signature pizzas. I love the pizzas they sell. The dog food is at a good price for a low income person like me. I'm an introvert so I have the best time shopping is when employees pretend I dont exist. I could say that the customer service here is above and beyond.

Update: And now you almost always have to wait in line to use self checkout. I go there less than I used to because of this.
Original review: Recently added self checkout but removed the speed lanes for fewer items.

Lines down aisles and 3 checkers working. Absolutely horrible service at the deli counter. 1 person in line ahead of me and it took 15+ minutes for a bag of chicken. I came back 10 minutes later and she still wasn't done. Then one new person shows up, takes the person behind me then leaves. Most workers there are just plain rude.
On my last visit I was assaulted by an employee at the self check out. He forcibly ripped my ID out of my 65 yo hands and illegally recorded it. The manager blew it off.

10:30 PM. LITERALLY the ONLY person in the store. It took 15 minutes- to get a bottle of vodka... Mind you, I hit the button 4 times, and the lady walked by the aisle 3 times. The service here is HORRIBLE.

Great service today. Great sales and love all the Valentine Decorations in floral. The ambiance was chilled and laid back this morning. Plenty of stocked shelves to get ready for the weekend. Make sure to load your rewards from the app to your purchase. Save more today it's Friday Frenzy

Severe lack of staff, increasingly long wait times even during non peak hours, though the recent addition of self checkouts is welcome, they are of no help for large quantity purchases. As usual another Safeway that doesn’t prioritize customer wait times, and thinks that opening another checkout line is the end of the world.Update: 2024…no change. Also the bathrooms are a mess.

The prepared food/deli workers will charge the wrong amount when they weigh your food. I thought the first time was just a mistake but the next 4 times was the same routine. I just couldn't believe it. I talked with customer service and they offered to refund me but still have not corrected the problem.
