Incredibly RACIST. I need to preface this by saying: I am painfully aware when I am the one of few (or only) person of color in a store. This specific store on Wednesday, September 4th 2024, I was one of the only people of color in the store.
I was in the store with my sister in-law who was picking up groceries and a cake for my niece’s 2nd birthday party. Since I was her ride I decided to also get a few things. We shared a basket and headed to self checkout once we were finished. My sister in-law has a hard time walking since she just gave birth to her other daughter so she used a power chair on this trip.
Once we get to self checkout I ring up my items. I lift up the bag once it’s done to see how heavy it was, which I guess set off the camera for “unbagged item”. The woman came and watched the replay intensely and saw that I didn’t put anything else in the bag. She then proceeded to say “you have to scan those other items” (referring to the items in my sister in-law’s cart.) I replied, “yeah, I know. Those are hers.”
My sister in-law scans her items and we head to the bakery to pick up the cake.
QFC’s policy is to purchase the cake before you take it home. My sister in-law SCANNED the receipt that was given to her via the baker at the self checkout AND printed out a receipt which she HANDED OVER to the woman at the bakery before the woman handed over the cake. We then left.
Before I make it to my car a different lady CHASES US out of the store telling us we need to pay for the cake. I completely flipped my lid because that was the SECOND TIME I WAS BEING HARASSED IN A GROCERY STORE IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES. Absolutely disgusting. How was the woman not aware of policy? If we didn’t show proof of purchase the baker would NOT have handed us the cake. I’m not completely upset with the woman at self checkout but her encounter with me plus the cake fiasco is too much of a “coincidence”. I’m appalled and embarrassed. As a collective we need to do better.

Why are there never enough checkers? Lots of time there are NONE. All self-check, like now, when have a huge cart of stuff. Guess I need to take my $900 a month to Safeway.

So previous online orders have had no issues, no problems, everything fulfilled. Today’s online order; I was sold EXPIRED MILK. It expired on the 9th, today is the 12th. Unacceptable and very disappointing. When attempting to resolve the issue with them over phone, after being transferred to online service, I was rerouted back to customer service, in which I was asked to call back in 15 minutes because they didn’t understand why the guy wasn’t picking up the phone. It took a half hour to finally get him to respond, he informed me that I could either bring it back in and exchange it for a fresh one or to have the item taken off the bill, I told to take it off my bill, and he didn’t take any of my info, and failed to refund it. I had to speak with an agent about the situation and only till this morning did they actually give me the refund. Again very disappointing.

This review is for the deli department. Zaw at the sushi section was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful when I had questions.

Sushi is disgusting. The wasabi is brown (should be green), the actual sushi tastes moldy especially the avacado which should be green and not brown. When they started, their sushi was edible and we could at least count on it to have fresh ingredients. It has steadily gone down hill and I would not be surprised that people start getting sick.

We live nearby and used to shop quite often there during 4 years. This place getting worth and worth and now I decided to write review. I have never ate sushi with rice filling. Wow! $22 for this set. No fish at all and it is not listed as vegan set!!! Also taste is awful. I understand that it is hard times now, but it’s just way too much to save on ingredients that way. Also my husband used to come with berries that are having mold inside couple of latest weeks. No more shopping here!

The most depressing shopping experience when I go to the QFC in this location. It's very hard to find anything in the store. While some employees are helpful and kind to help locating things in the store, some employees treat customers like they are thieves. Specially at the register and the manager named Scott. When I checked out, the cashier called Scott for re-check. What does that supposed to mean? and Scott followed me out of the store? This is depressing. God knows what suspicious activity he might have thought I have done.I would have written a letter to the corporate office, but I don't want to waste anymore of my time on this. They are closing a lot of QFC stores, I won't be upset if they closed down this one.
