“I always past this small store while on the bus. Finally stopped in. Ordered the Turkey BLAT. Brought home and it was delicious! So glad I finally tried it. Going to stop by more often. The little grocery store helps too with drinks and candy for my sweet tooth.”

“We discovered this store by accident and it has become our number one go to for all things alcohol. Their prices are on par with other seller but the service we get from the manager every time we come in is exemplary; not only do we get excellent recommendations for things we might like or are worth trying, but the sheer knowledge those recommendations come with is astounding. We always have a warm positive experience there, regardless of how terrible our day may have been otherwise. Proper & Ernest is more than just a store, its a haven. They do lean more into better quality than the grocery store cheap stuff, but that doesn't mean that everything is expensive, just that even the lower shelf stuff is still likely to be pretty decent.”

“The definition of a local hidden gem. It might be easy to walk right by the storefront, but inside you'll find one of the best, most interesting selections of beer, wine, sake, and cider from around the world. Plus you can grab a beer from their selection of taps in the back and hang out while you browse. They're even dog-friendly! Long live Bottleworks.”
“I love this place so much. It’s right in my backyard and I make regular stops here. It’s such a relaxing experience browsing all the aisles and there is always something interesting to be found. Great for gifts for others or to get a nice treat for yourself.
Just wish they stayed open a bit later, but that’s Seattle I suppose. I hope they never go out of business!”

“A great small wine shop in the shadow of Laurelhurst. The proprietor has an extensive knowledge of smaller French wineries that offer great wines at really fair prices. Very helpful. Specializes in France, but the selection is rounded out with other old world wines. Highly recommended.”
“Approachable wines, affable merchant! This wine shop in the Columbia City are carries a wonderful variety of affordable and fun wines, with some very nice bottles for special occasions as well. This visit we picked up several new wines to try, some we chose and at least one we bought on a recommendation from the merchant. All very good, and none broke the bank.
What to know: street parking nearby or there is a pay by the hour lot just up the street. Visit the neighborhood for lunch and afterward pop in for some wines to help you celebrate the rest of the week. Wonderful!”

“Great wine selection and very knowledgeable owners and staff. I joined the wine club for a reasonable price and I guess once you join, you are in for life. You get a discount on bottles that don't have a red mark on the price label when you join the club, along with some other benefits. Like that they are close to home and open often.”

“Oh my gosh! Last night they had their annual Champagne Showcase. Tickets were $25. They had 49 different champagnes to sample, and they were all ice cold! Not to mention that they have very knowledgeable and helpful staff for a normal visit and just about anything you could possibly want to drink at their location. I believe they will do special orders if they don't have what you're looking for.”

“This has been one of our favorite grocery stores for many years. Excellent produce selection, excellent variety of vegan items, basic groceries, fancy chocolates, kitchen gifts, bulk foods, frozen foods, baked goods, hot dishes in the deli with a seating area.”

Having all intake taken care of for me, my collection inventoried by the P55 staff, being able to see all my wines online via the P55 app, select what I want then have it couriered to me or pick it up in Georgetown. Fun events for members and the only storage service in Seattle providing this service.”

Layout makes great usage of square footage, feels bigger than it is as a result. Lots of little perks (in unit w/d, new kitchen appliances,lots of closet space etc) that come together for a great experience. “I live block away. The staff are always so kind, so helpful, and always polite ( a rarity among Seattle businesses these days). I can't think of one time where I needed something and they didn't have it, which is pretty impressive considering it being a "quick mart".They also have a sandwich bar. They serve Borehead I believe? I've never personally tried any of their sandwiches, but I see people ordering them all the time during the day so that's gotta mean something!”
