When it comes to hair, Amanda shows attention to detail! She understands hair, and what each person's particular strands and lifestyle are capable of. The shop is usually only one client at a time, and I've never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes before she was ready for me. You really get what you pay for. A haircut from Amanda is worth the time and money. Worth noting- I've never had my hair colored by her. I have pretty gray hair, and am happy to be dye free. :)

Absolutely loved my experience with Amanda, and the results! I went in with only a vague notion of what I wanted and I absolutely loved the end result. She then proceeded to take time to explain how to style and care for my new hair cuit, as well as answered some more basic hair care questions. I would recommend her services to anyone!

What I loved: Amanda was punctual. The salon was clean and well maintained. She was knowledgeable about the products she was using. Amanda was friendly and pleasant. Disclaimer before I say what I didn’t love: I understand hair grows back. I did not speak up in the moment so I take partial blame for the results. The last time I went to a hair stylist was two years ago because I am so picky. I admire that Amanda tried to step up to the plate. What I didn’t love: I wanted to keep my longer hair style and ended up with more than 5 inches cut off. I did have hair color change from a dye job that I was growing out. Amanda opted to cut all the dyed hair off which left with a very short (IMO) haircut left. I’m just glad I waited until it was grown out so long otherwise I’d be scared with what I left with. When washing, she used a stronger shampoo meant to strip (not my words) everything off like water chemical residue, built up shampoo, etc. I tend to like the more natural side of things so it would have been better if I was asked first if using something so strong was okay rather than telling me after it was already applied to my hair (too late). Lastly, I’m very low maintenance with my hair styles (I don’t own a blow dryer) and I feel the cut style given paired with the length makes it impossible to just wear down without styling it in some manner. It is cut in a way that my natural waves make it seem poofy and untamed. I don’t have a problem wearing it up until it grows out a bit but would like the option to wear it down without the hassle. Why I gave three stars: The experience was nice but the results were less than desirable

I'll start by saying what most people begin with "I never submit reveiws..." I really never review! but seriously felt so inclined to do it after a few weeks after my first haircut with Amanda! She did some corrective work for me (my hair is shoulder length , I'm trying to grow it back out and had previously got a very blah no volume type of cut) So my hair was like a frizzy dull mushroom chop! It was terrible. Also, I'm still recovering from a little postpartum hair loss in the front. So a lot going on! She addressed every concern I had, educated me with the what, why, and how she felt she could correct it every step of the way. She gave my hair life again! So happy I found Amanda! I actually like doing my hair now!

Amanda is an amazing hairstylist! She truly listens to what you want and then explains everything before she starts. She even takes time to teach you how to style and care for your hair. I always leave feeling beautiful an added bonus is how much fun you have while with her. She is a true artist and I trust her completely with my hair!

Just moved to Kirkland and was in desperate need of a color, cut, and well... all the stuff. Stumbled upon Amanda Kyle thanks to my pals at Yelp and I am beyond happy that I did. I saw Amanda this weekend and she was everything you'd want a stylist to be---- a good listener, honest, polite, however; gave her own suggestions and opinions, BUT still heard what I wanted to achieve as far as my hair goals. Needless to say, she made it happen and I was extremely delighted with the end result.

Amanda was a great find. I found her online when looking for someone new after moving to Kirkland. The first time I went to Amanda she took the time to listen to me and show me photos as to what she thought would look good on me. She made suggestions but wasn't pushy. Since she has been doing my hair all my friends comment on how much they love my hair. And each time i see her she goes back through to find out what i like and don't like. She is awesome plus a fun person - very bubbly and positive.

I've had my hair cut my Amanda a few times now and she always does a great job! I was recommended to her by a friend and the first time we sat down to discuss my hair, she saw why I felt like it was just too thick and boring. She said that she would thin it out a little bit and I told her that I just don't want it to be too thinned out (that Asian look that sometimes looks shredded). She did a great job thinning it out and my hair felt a lot lighter, while keeping the volume. She's moved to the Mosaic building now and the last time she cut my hair, we sat down to look at pictures together to see what I wanted and she's always careful not to cut it too short.
