The people at Eastside Subaru were an absolute pleasure to work with. I've been around my fair share of used car dealerships, and this was by far the most pleasant experience I've had. The employees were incredibly nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Highly highly recommend!

TLDR this dealership is no better than any other. Expect to pay more for a lemon and don’t expect to be treated well.
The car buying process is incredibly daunting so when I needed a new used car I decided to buy from a Subaru dealership expecting a better experience and trusting I was buying a better car even though it would be more expensive. Boy was I wrong. Subaru Kirkland just confirmed that every car sales place are all the same - they’re trying to scam and take advantage of you.
According to the salesman who sold me the car it had been throughly checked out by their mechanics and had no issues. I purchased it at just below asking price and took out a loan through them. When going through the pages of paper work I refused a warranty multiple times and the man was incredibly pushy. He even asked if I wanted to “call my dad”. The warranty covers basically nothing and I shouldn’t need a warranty if they did their job. While speeding through paperwork they slip in a signature waiving the implied warranty of merchantability which covers the buyer if the dealership sells you a lemon.
Unfortunately, I didn’t notice this until a week later when my check engine light came on noting a gas leak and then again two weeks later when a new battery was needed (the only thing covered by eastside subaru). And then a month and a half later when none of the new tires that were put on before I bought it would hold air. Then again at the beginning of October and again at the end of October and again just last week. This car has been nothing but a money pit. Oh and the warranty I waived probably wouldn’t have covered anything anyways. Thank you Eastside Kirkland for a lemon and a terrible experience!

This was 100%, hands-down, one of the easiest, and most positive car buying experiences I have encountered over my lifetime. I purchased a 2020 Outback XT Onyx Ed. from Eastside Subaru of Kirkland.
I reached out to Eastside about a week before I purchased the vehicle to get as much information as possible before battling the 405. From the very start, the communication from the dealership-side was transparent and without pressure. Every question I had about the vehicle was met promptly, and thoroughly. "Joe" (Mathew Joe Walery) was my sales-person from start to finish. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you go see Joe if you are interested in a Subaru. With over 30 years experience he has seen a lot, which explains his honest, friendly approach to the car buying experience. Joe made the test drive so enjoyable, with his great taste in music and his easy nature, it made the next step, the haggling, something I desperately wanted to avoid. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. When we finally got down to the business-end of the deal, coming to a sale price and agreed trade-in price for my vehicle was pretty much a two-conversation event. I gave Joe my bottom line, Joe gave the information to the Sales Manager, Danny Santos, and it was done. Fair price for fair price. I want to also take a moment to shine a light on Danny, he was not the usual "put you on ice" Sales Manager. He gave off the vibe of, "I'm a door is always open" kind of a guy. Once we had the numbers, Joe made quick work of the vitals, and it was off to their Finance Dept. to complete the pre-approval with my bank.
It was at this point where I thought there was going to be a snag in the smooth sale process. I had installed bolt-on Thule bed racks to carry a roof box on my truck. Because I was not sure how the deal would go, I didn't take them off beforehand. During the trade-in talk Kirkland expressed their preference of not keeping the racks with the truck, and asked if I would mind taking them off. I had no tools with me to do so, but I agreed to remove the rack (I would have had to run up to the hardware store). The snag never became a snag- Joe stepped up, talked to service to borrow their tools, and he and the Finance Manager, Isaiah Ryales, went to work of removing the racks for me. This, after repeatedly offering to do the work myself. They could not have been more friendly about it, with a sense of humor to boot! Once the racks were off, they loaded nicely into my Subaru.
Speaking of the Finance Manager, Isaiah Ryales fell right in line with the same effortless, easy-going approach that I encountered with Joe and Danny. Completing the finance paperwork was quick and easy (minus Isaiah rallying to help with the racks). Granted, not having to be on the sales end allows the finance folks more freedom to be at ease, but his friendly personality removed the "this is just another business deal" feeling. He could have just as easily gone about the paperwork, and sent me on my way. Instead he made it feel more like two guys talking about their families, where they grew up, and "oh yeah" we are wrapping up a business deal.
I realize car dealerships are about making money. They run a business just like any other business or corporation. However, what made Eastside Kirkland different was their approach to how they went about their business. When a dealership can offer a fair price, then accept a fair trade, with no pressure, no 4-square BS, no "pizza closes" to get you to seal the deal, and do it all with a sense of humor and a smile, they are doing it right. Eastside Subaru of Kirkland is not the smarmy sales floor, conveyor belt, churn out car deals, dealership like some of my past experiences. They know they have cars to move, but in so doing they also seem to grasp the importance of a positive car buying experience.
I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying a Subaru. If you ar

Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Traded in my car. Got a fair price and got a different car in a few short hours. Got a good deal on the car. Everyone was nice, helpful and easy to work with. And no pressure at all. Had the car I was looking for so it was a breeze. I recommend this place and would go back again if I was in need of another car. Thanks Eastside Subaru in Kirkland, WA!

Took a look at a vehicle here, test drove it and determined there was an electrical issue. Later in the week they reached out and said issue was fixed and if I was still interested. Negotiated a price over the phone and went back out hoping to purchase. They adjusted the fees to get the bottom line back up to the original price. Deceptive. One less dealership to deal with in the future.

Very strange experience. Coming from the new car dealer lot I was expecting a similar atmosphere, but rather was given the impression that they weren't interested in selling a car while pressuring me to give over my information.

I wish we could do zero stars. A week ago today my son started working with Rachel a sales person and the GM Galnaza to purchase a 2012 Outback. We live about an hour and a half away and wanted the financing etc.. in place before making the drive up. To this day, after at least 3 asks, we still don't know who the financing was through. They don't answer the landline phone when you call, and they don't listen to the messages you leave. After finally getting everything in order, last night Galnaza said to send over paystubs for final approval. What? My son was told he was already fully approved, he insured the car as they required. Son submits paystubs as requested to Galnaza and they agreed he'd be up today by 11am to test drive and finalize the purchase. Today at 9:14am she text my son and said, there is someone there now and he's on a test drive and likely buying the car. Then she texts my son, yes it's sold. I understand the first come first serve policy, but knowing my son is literally on his way, and to sell the car out from under him, is simply unprofessional. As a Real Estate professional for 19years, who has bought many cars, including my last purchase, a Jaguar F-Pace, I have worked with many many dealerships over the years, and I'd never work with Eastside Subaru, even if it was the last dealership in Washington.

I'm not the type to leave many reviews, let alone incredibly poor reviews, often. If you look at my history, it's mainly glowing reviews, unless a business wrongs me in some way. This place absolutely deserves it.I bought a used 2016 Hyundai Tucson at around 99,000 miles. It's at about 108,000 now, and Les Schwab let me know that every single brake and rotor needs replacing, which is $1500 out of my pocket, less than a year after I bought this car.I just got off the phone with customer service letting them know, and they told me that all used cars are sold as-is, and as long as they pass a safety inspection, they can sell the car. They also don't service anything but Subarus. While I recognize that my car is used, and darn near 100,000 miles, the last thing I expected was to be left with rotors that need replacing and brake pads at about 1mm.What a nightmare. If you buy a used car here, which I personally wouldn't recommend, make SURE you get it checked out right away. There's no way I have to replace all of my rotors after 10,000 miles and it still passed a safety test. That's ludicrous. Nearly all of my 10,000 miles are HIGHWAY miles too. I work from home and travel to see family on weekends, and that's it. I can't fathom how my brakes got down that low.
