I am 68 years old. I had a car accident on April 26, 2022. Due to various factors of the insurance company, my spinal pain was delayed until January 2024, from April 2022 to January 2024. I finally waited for the results, and the insurance company approved the doctor’s surgical treatment plan! During these long twenty-two months of waiting, I have been lying on the table or sitting up to fall asleep. After the doctor’s diagnosis and MRI report, the surgeon believed that the most feasible method was spinal fusion. The surgeon was DR. Edward Jung. Before the surgery, I checked the information about DR. Edward Jung. From almost all the reviews, I was pleased to find that my surgery would definitely have a perfect result! On January 11, 2024, Dr. Edward Jung performed spinal fusion at L3L4L5 on me. The day after the surgery, I was able to get in and out of bed and use the bathroom on my own. To be honest, pain after the fusion of three vertebrae was inevitable, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the pain only stayed in my surgical area. Instead of the excruciating electric shock-like pain from waist to feet, I knew at this time that the operation was very successful (the pain in the waist area stopped on the fifth day after the operation). All thanks to Edward Jung's technology Outstanding and I am very grateful to Edward Jung and his team! If you have back problems I would 100% recommend him and tell you from my personal very successful case that he is very worthy of respect and trust!!!!!!!

My husband has been in chronic pain for over 10 years, and this was his last straw. His shoulder was 3-5 inches lower than the other. We went and saw Dr. Jung at Pro Ortho, and was going to get the surgery scheduled there, but he moved to the Poly Clinic in Seattle. We had to wait longer for him, but it is WORTH the wait! My husband had a disk replacement and a foraminotomy. My husband stayed in the hospital for 3 days after the surgery, but once he got home and started to heal, he started to become his old self again. Not only did he save his life but this life changing surgery, but he gave me my husband back again! He continues to improve each and everyday. He listens to all of your concerns and answers all the question. He is such a good listener, if you don't understand he will explain it to you in a way you will understand it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me my husband back Dr. Jung.

I was having a lot of pain from two herniated disks and bone growth irritating the nerves. The pain was in my lower back and down my left leg. Dr. Jung was excellent in reviewing with me my condition and answering questions about the procedure and recovery. The surgery went as we discussed and I was able to work from home a couple of days after surgery. Three weeks after surgery no nerve pain and most of the muscle pain from the surgery gone. From my first visit forward, he gained my trust and confidence in his abilities and caring for me as a patient. I highly recommend Dr. Jung.

I’m a 44 year old male that had been walking like Quasimodo for approximately 6 months until last week when Dr. Jung performed a laminotomy. I tried everything including two epidurals to try to calm my nerve down. I went to another neurosurgeon prior to Dr. Jung but I didn’t think he appeared willing to help.As the son of a doctor and having seen my father treat people for 30+ years I know a good doctor when I see one. Not only that but the ability for someone to use all the resources available now a days to figure out what’s wrong with them are much more advanced.I studied and compared my MRI for months and knowing my body, I knew it was something that was not going to resolve itself.Met Dr. Jung, I knew right away by the way he listen to my complaints that he had my best interest at heart. He actually did an examination and listen to everything the way a doctor should. He looked at my MRI prior to seeing me. I had him scroll through the MRI and get to the L4-L5 area and asked him if he saw something wrong. He immediately said, yes the nerve is compressed and does not have the room necessary to function. I said thank you doctor. I’m not a doctor but I can clearly see that the L4-L5 looks nothing like the rest of my spine. He also took x-rays of my back and said that I have mild spondylolisthesis but the main concern is the nerve. He said that a minimally invasive laminotomy or a fusion were an option. I look him straight in the eye and asked him, if I was your brother what would you suggest. He said laminotomy. He also said there is a possibility that later on due to the spondylolisthesis a fussion may have to happen but for now the less invasive course of action was best. I agreed and on 6/26/23 bright and early at 0600hours I subjected myself to his and his teams expertise. When I woke up, I could not believe I was waking straight without my back forcing me to lurch my back forward and to the right to protect my sciatic nerve on my left. Granted I was still under the influence of anesthesia so some of the pain was masked under it but still I felt better than I had felt in 6 months. I didn’t take any of the narcotics that were given for pain after the surgery. Numbness and a bit of pain is still there after 10 days now but it’s no where near where it was 10 days ago.I have my post OP tomorrow and I’m looking forward to tell Dr. Jung how in feel and the tremendous help he gave me. I’m not a fortune teller and I have no idea what my spine will do in the future and something may come up just like it did 6 months ago out of no where, what I know is right now i have a lot less pain that I had for the last 6 months of my life.Sciatic nerve is nasty and it really is a game of millimeters.Dr. Jung is a master of his craft and I wouldn’t think twice again about having him operate on me.Thank you Dr. Jung.

After months of pain unresolved by PT and cortisone shots, I decided to consult with an orthopedic spine surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. I feel fortunate to have found Dr. Jung who is not only an excellent surgeon, but also a thoughtful and caring doctor. He was able to clearly point out what the problem was, and explained fully the type of surgery that I would need. His explanation of the procedure, and his helpful videos further made me confident in going forth. I had a lumbar fusion of my L3,L4,and L5, with two disc replacements. The surgery went well and even though it took place late in the day, I was able to leave the hospital early the next afternoon. Dr. Jung made sure that I felt comfortable about any concerns that might occur. My recovery has been going great, and I appreciate his continued encouragement and advice. Dr. Jung is such an asset to our medical community and we are so lucky to have him here!

This was my post OP visit. Dr. Jung takes time to listen to his patients and explain results and options. In my case, he recommended another opinion to determine next steps. I compliment him for treating patients as important and not spending time with the computer, i.e. treat the patient as a person. If I need any further surgery, I will definitely work with Dr. Jung. This was my second spinal surgery with Dr. Jung and, in both cases, my post OP pain was minimal and the recovery time was reasonable. I would recommend Dr. Jung for anyone needing a minimally invasive spinal procedure.

Dr. Edward Jung recently performed surgery on my 70 year old husband, TomBefore the surgery Tom was falling a lot due to a very extensive impingement in his lower spine. He was very limited to common mobility. Even just around our yard was so painful he started using a walker. Activity came almost to a halt completely.Enter Dr Jung. He talked at length not once but several times about what the surgery would entail, what post-op would be like and tips to help make it more successful afterwards. He is patient, so kind, never rushes you, and really LISTENS. He is a very gifted surgeon that continues his education to stay at the top of his game. Have I said how nice he is? ?Tom’s surgery was 7 hours! Doctor Jung made a new man out of him. He is back to walking, gardening, going out and enjoying life again, thanks to this man’s very gifted hands.I cannot thank him enough for giving me my husband back. We both are so grateful and cannot recommend him highly enough.

My husband Wayne has had the privilege of having Dr Jung operate twice using the minimally invasive procedure on his spine. Both times, one in L4/5, and most recently S1, Dr Jung has been very invested in both of our emotional as well as my husband’s physical needs! We are so blessed to have his expertise and care for us.

My husband suffered for 7 years with sciatica and extreme back pain. All the other doctors we went to wanted to fuse 2-3 vertebrae in his back with up to 6 months recovery time. Dr. Jung is the only doctor who recommended minimally invasive surgery as a next step, instead of fusion. Two weeks later, my husband has no pain for the first time in 7 years. And he did not have to have his back fused. Thank you Dr. Jung, you are an angel sent to help us.

I broke my clavicle badly in a bike crash, and Dr Jung and his staff were outstanding. His office got me in quickly for a consultation, Barb worked closely with my insurance, and surgery was successful. I appreciated that he wasn't quick to rush to surgery, but rather laid out the different options and probabilities, which helped me make an informed decision and not have second thoughts. All throughout Dr Jung was compassionate, answered my many questions, and I never felt rushed which I appreciated during such a difficult situation.

Dr. Jung was recommended to me by another (now no longer practicing) surgeon whom I highly respect and trust. I went to him with weakness, numbness and tingling in the left arm. I'd had a similar problem in my right arm years ago and had a laminectomy to fix it. I assumed I'd have to have it done again on the left side this time. Dr. Jung looked at my spine and, instead, recommended artificial disc insertion for two of my discs - C5-C7. The surgery was straightforward (at least from my perspective) and I was feeling great after just a few days. I'm two weeks out now and feel fantastic. Thanks Dr. Jung!

Dr. Jung was simply amazing! My spine was pretty complicated. My surgery took longer than usual only because of how difficult my spine was but Dr. Jung and his team did an awesome job doing the spinal fusion. I am so grateful for the work he did. Highly recommend going to him for spinal surgery!

So for over 6 months I had had nerve pain shorting down the left side from my lower back all the way down my leg. Felt like someone was squeezing the nerve. To say it brought me to tears a few time. Made it so I couldn’t stand for long or walk very far. Finally got all the stuff lined up and went in to see Dr. Jung. He went through everything. Gave me options, answered all our questions and we got everything set up. I ended up with a fusion of the S1and L5 and some other clean up. He did an amazing job! I’m just about 6 weeks post surgery and spent the previous day walking around Pike Place in Seattle without a single issue. I couldn’t be happier with my results. Thank you again Dr. Jung!

Doctor Jung performed a cracked hip repair approximately 5 weeks ago. The operation went well and the recovery has been virtually pain- free with no complications or infections.Throughout the recovery process Dr Jung and his staff have been very professional and efficient. There is no waiting time at his office and his staff go out of their way to insure timely and attentive service. This experience was a model for how an injury requiring surgical repair should be managed. Thanks, Dr. Jung!Rick G.
