During the tour, the director made sound like there’s for sure going to be spots available upcoming September. However, when I emailed her she told me that they’ve already done their Sep enrollement. Extremely unprofessional and misleading !! I rather she be more direct and upfront in the beginning.

Our family is so impressed with this center! It is new, clean, and always very organized. The teachers are incredible- our son's first teacher, Andjelka, is fantastic. She is really kind, compassionate, and so invested in her classroom & all of the children. She connects with the parents in a way that is just so genuine and thoughtful. Debbie is also fabulous and makes the kids feel safe in her care. While this is understandably a very difficult time for parents & families, the center makes you feel at ease with their approach to safety, cleanliness, and security. The front office staff at Kirkland Urban ensures that every family is screened and takes proper precautions to keep your child & household as safe as possible. We are very grateful to the staff and faculty at BH. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We absolutely love Bright Horizons Urban Plaza! Both of our children are cared for there - one in the kindergarten-prep room, one in the toddler room. Given recent moves, we have experienced a couple of different childcare facilities / preschools (and have toured other schools in the area), and have also worked with a nanny. This is, without question, our best experience yet.The administrative staff is extremely professional and very experienced in the field. Their doors are always open and they frequently come out to warmly greet parents/families at drop-off/pick-up. It is very obvious that Melissa, the center director, is extremely invested in making sure that all of the staff are happy and well-supported (this is so incredibly important), and that families have the absolute best possible experience. The curriculum leaders are also very experienced and supportive of the teachers. The teachers! We adore our children’s teachers in both of their classrooms. In the toddler room, they are gentle, loving and nurturing. In the K-Prep room, the main teacher is highly emotionally intelligent and makes a directed point to connect with each child, to build a strong, trusting relationship. The curriculum is solid and in addition to basic learning, is very much focused on social-emotional development.Add to all of this a movement/music room (yoga!)! An art studio (with a dedicated art director)! A brand new, gorgeous (and very secure) facility! An incredible homemade and nutritious menu with an awesome in-center chef! The list goes on…We feel incredibly fortunate for our children to be able to go here and we could not possibly recommend this center more to other families - you’ll love it, too!

The Bright Horizons Urban Plaza location is beautiful and new with fantastic classroom spaces and a great outdoors area for the kids. We could not ask for a better facility. However - it's the teachers and staff who set this center apart. Everyone who works there is incredibly kind and positive. The focus on education and learning is impressive for each age group and our experience with the administration has been really strong with excellent communication and understanding of our priorities. I couldn't be happier with the center.

We've been at Bright Horizons Urban Plaza, Kirkland since it opened and are so thankful to have found such an incredible environment for our young kids. After living in 3 other states and experiencing 4 other childcare centers, as well as nannies and babysitters, in less than 6 years, the transition to this center has exceeded all expectations. The staff is professional and engaged, the leadership is committed to serving its families, and, most importantly, we are confident in the development, happiness, and care of our kids. With small class sizes, a wonderful meal program, attentive teachers, and tailored enrichment activities, the center has a refreshing balance and you can feel the presence of strong leadership.

Our daughter has attended here since they opened. We have always loved the space and staff. After returning from the months long break during the beginning of the COVID lockdown, we could not be happier with the additional precautions they are taking. In addition to normal COVID risks, I’m also a cancer patient with significant pre-existing risk conditions. The protocols Bright Horizons has put in place has exceeded our expectations, which in turn give us a necessary comfort for our daughter & our entire family. Thanks Melissa and the entire BH team! ??

I'm excited to see that a new Bright Horizons center is opening in Kirkland! Kirkland is a central location for the east side of the Seattle metro area, with easy access to Bellevue, Seattle, and minutes away from surrounding cities. Being in the Urban Plaza allows easy access in and out of the city of Kirkland.I'm currently a parent of a toddler at the Bothell center and can say that working with Melissa, the new center's director has been a great pleasure. This year I've gotten to know Melissa a lot better while working with her in the family parent partnership group.Melissa is a great leader that fosters an awesome work environment for all the staff and that shows when it comes to the care of the kiddos. Happy energized teachers and support staff is really felt by the children. It's always a communal learning and nurturing environment for the children, staff, and even parents. As a first-time parent, she's given me great tips about being a parent with a child in daycare and taking what my child's doing and learning at the center to the home environment.I'm also super excited about Joelle being the assistant director at the Urban Plaza, Kirkland. Joelle was one of the infant teachers for my kiddo and she's just amazing with the kids, and even more so with parents that come asking loads of questions and want to know everything that happened during the day. I'm more than confident Joelle will bring that brightly brilliant work ethic to being a leader at the new center.Overall this is an awesome leadership team!
