It may seem a bit odd to be leaving a review of a bank branch, but the DT Kirkland branch of Banner Bank is special. My wife and I have done our banking here for over 10 years. Recently retired manager Dave was always helpful and friendly, even though our dog didn't always reciprocate his friendliness. But the container of Milkbones was kept near Dave's office door, so Dave always came out to say "hi"to Beta. Joan and Aruja always had a sincere interest in meeting our banking service needs. Both are such great assets to the Banner community. The DT Kirkland branch is a great example of why banking should retain retail outlets: they are service quality differentiators and a part of the local community.

I walked into this location at the beginning of the year as a clueless and confused college student. Over the past year, Nancy has walked me step by step through the process of setting up my accounts, answering any and all questions I had, and sent me on my way towards financial literacy. Nancy has always returned calls and emails in a timely manner. I really felt like the people working cared about helping me work towards my goals. This branch is a little out of the way for me, but I drive an extra half hour because they are so kind and helpful to me. I can't recommend them enough!

Our company recently changed to this bank and I appreciate all of the staff especially Nancy. Everyone always has a smile and is very welcoming.

DO NOT USE THIS BANK ! Have issues with a refund amount being shorted, so i have been continually calling this bank for a month to get it corrected. I get excuse after excuse, and that i have to wait 15 days, then after 15 i was told i have to wait 30 days. All the while getting frustrated , so i removed my money from the account and now they have removed $4 twice while we wait for a $6.47 refund error to correct so i can close the account. SO THEY STOLE $8 WHILE I WAS WAITING FOR $6.47 ....WHAT A JOKE AND SCREWED UP COMPANY. BANK RIGHT NEXT DOOR WITH NO FEES.

I have been a customer of Banner Bank for many years. Since 2011. And the customer service keeps going down hill. And the overdraft fees are amazing. So expensive $30 and they don't even pay the charge. I haven't gotten an overdraft fee in over 4 years. There service has gone down hill and you are even charged to use your debit card and they hold purchases you have made from other countries. What a bunch of B.S. Banner Bank use to be a good Bank, now they are a bunch of asshats.Erin

Stay away...constant lies and deceit to get your money. You try to support the smaller local banks, but just not worth it as you do not get the same customer service....I should have stayed with the Big guys!!

They sent me to collections for an overdraft charge that I didn't know that I had because I did not receive any notification of this apparent debt that I owed them! I hadn't looked at this account for months and when I did, there was no indication that there were any fees attached to it. What fees did you send me to collections for? I don't know!! I would have made it right if I knew I made a mistake!! Thanks Banner Bank! Banner Bank is basically a heartless money robot that can't make reasonable decisions which then negatively affect real people and their finances. Now I have to dispute this with a collection agency instead of enjoying my one life.

I've worked with Dave and his team at Banner Bank for 17 years and have always received the absolute best customer service. Dave seems to always find the time to come out and say hello and see how I'm doing, no matter how busy he is or what he's doing. I can't think of one other place where I get better customer service. Good luck trying to get someone to talk to in this day and age of automated phone systems. I don't know about all of Banner Bank, but I know the Kirkland branch is the best branch of any bank I've ever worked with in my 50 years. I do wish they were open on the weekend, I agree with that, but it's not worth giving up the best customer service in the Seattle metropolitan area over. I'll stick with Dave and his crew and wait until Monday comes around.

Today was the 3rd time I have gone into a Banner Bank to open an account with my 16 year old. We were turned away and told we have to make an appointment. That's fine except when I called at least 6 times today to the branch on Summitview in Yakima nobody answered the phone so I could make said appointment! When I told the teller Dalia that, all she could say was that they have been busy today and its the second of the month. So what! Do you want my business? I'm about to close all 3 of my accounts with Banner and move on to a different bank that actually wants customers.

All of a sudden they are penalizing people who are poor by charging if you have less than a certain amount. I was happy, but I am now moving my money to one of the plethora of choices of banks who do not charge an asinine minimum fee, even if it's only a few bucks, to people who are poor. I urge others to do the same, even if you are not going to be charged, as this kind of behavior won't change until they realize it's unacceptable.

Small Business Owner. After banking for over 30 years with local bank, it was taken over by Banner Bank. I continued my Accounts with Banner, for 2 years. Customer Service became non-existent. Issue with ACH being declined for a measly $85.00 vehicle tabs - for NO apparent reason. The ONLY way I was aware, is the State of WA sent me a letter regarding. I made 4 trips into the BANK regarding... and was told I input the WRONG Acct Info. I copied off ALL the years of previous payments- including my monthly Sales Tax Payments, Yearly Business License Fee, ALL my Vehicle Tab Payments etc... ALL pre-programmed within my STATE of WA- Secure Access ACCT. All I requested was that Banner FIX whatever may have malfunctioned. I assumed all was taken care of, although I NEVER heard a peep from Banner. 1 month later, I received a call from a COLLECTION AGENCY. I made ANOTHER trip inside Banner Bank, talked with gal handling my issue. Asked her WHY she has NEVER, EVER contacted me regarding... WHY she NEVER contacted me despite numerous phone calls to the Bank (I ALWAYS left voicemails) as I could NEVER get her to pick up when I rang. I mentioned that the situation was unacceptable, and I was seriously considering taking my account to another Bank. I paid the Collection Agency - over $150.00 for the $85.00 Vehicle Tabs. I changed over my Merchant Service Acct (Business CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS) to Another Bank, as well as ALL my ACH Business Expenses. The WHOLE enchilada is switching over to ANOTHER Bank. Interesting, that throughout this entire experience, NOT even 1 phone call from Banner Bank. NOT EVER..... I get the feeling that they just DO NOT CARE! I hope anyone else considering opening up accounts with BANNER BANK will at least beware of potentially being treated as I was. Something they should Seriously Consider!

I’ve been a customer here for many years. The bank manager and some of the staff have been here the whole time. The manager is a fixture in the community, and cares about everyone. They’ve always gone the extra mile for me.

Support for their credit card is TERRIBLE. Don't say you weren't warned. Don't let your next trip be ruined.
