This company doesn’t stand behind their parts and the sales rep won’t tell this a use part till you pay for it.

Last week I bought 8L90 drum from this company, yesterday I looked at the drum is used so I said it would be better to replace the Oring seals before I but everything back together. I discovered the drum is broken I call the salesperson he said take pics and send so I did after a few hours reaches out to me and said we can't warranty the drum. The sales said maybe dropped or from the box when I picked up was in plastic bag and two of their workers saw that drum was in just plastic bag. I called the salesperson many times and he doesn't want to pick up the phone he confirms the parts use from CA and shipped to them. He gives me phone number of warehouse manager to call him I did call him many times and left message and he didn't get back to me. I bought the parts for $490. I want to Seaview in Lynnwood I order the part for $271.02. I been customer with this company for almost 3 years I never had issue and never looked to their review. I saw many people having issue with company because they don't owner their parts.

We are an auto repair shop, we purchased a " Remanufactured" transmission from TRANSTAR for our customer, It was our first time dealing with TRANSTAR. We installed the unit, Truck left here with no issues transmission performed great. Two months and approx 1,000 miles later, my customer calls, tells me truck is stuck, will not go into any gear, Making whining noises and has a leak. We had the truck towed here, sure enough transmission will not shift, noisy, noticed a small fluid leak at front seal. Here's where TRANSTAR dropped the ball.Called TRANSTAR, notified them of the problem advised them our customer purchased the optional " Extended warranty" which supposedly offers full coverage for the customer and pays the installing shop back for having to re-do the job. TRANSTAR advised we replace the seal which had the small leak and then re-install the trans and then " See what happens" Sorry but we are NOT going to install a seal on a transmission that is freshly remanufactured, besides. it will NOT shift even though the fluid level is still full. Transmission is making a loud whining noise as well. This truck was here for over a month waiting for a replacement from TRANSTAR. I made many, many phone calls to TRANSTAR to try and get this straightened out. They were basically blaming US for the faulty transmission, We replaced the cooler and flushed the lines so no contaminants could harm the replacement transmission. Our shop has been in business for over 50 years and I understand things like faulty parts can and do happen. It's how you handle it that counts and in THIS case TRANSTAR was trying to wash their hands of any responsibility. Remember, this transmission had only 1,000 miles on it. After 12 phone calls, countless minutes on the phone, 4 different people they finally send a replacement. We installed replacement transmission, truck drove great and so far no issues. Still have NOT been reimbursed for any of our labor, materials, customer was not reimbursed for his towing charge.Based on this experience we will not do business with this company again. IF TRANSTAR wants to reach out and make things right, I'll revise my review. But for now, we're back to using JASPER products, if a warranty issue should arise with JASPER, they just handle it, NO drama. Only reason we didn't use JASPER in this case was because a transmission was not available quickly at the time.

This is a terrible company if you sell products to them, they do not pay on time at all. If you want to buy from them no problem they take your money right away. I can't wait to sever ties with them, but am still waiting to be paid. : [

I have found there Inventory is really low to the Seattle side. Makes it difficult to estimate completion on a job and most parts you have to pay freight on which the can’t estimate how much freight will be. Anyways I am retiring still will miss the good old days A604 350 400 e40d ra
