No complaints about the check-out staff, who are uniformly polite, helpful, and friendly. My concern is that the management seems unconcerned that a variety of items, cookies as well as milk and cheeses in the "fancy" cheese section, are kept on the shelves past their best buy or expiration date. I've brought this to the attention of the people at guest services, who assured me the problem would be taken care of; when I went back to the store a week later, the cheese I was looking for was still on the shelf - now two weeks past its expiration date. The "store within a store" is enough of a hassle; now customers need to check every item themselves to make sure they're not expired? One more issue: why does the management turn a blind eye to the number of people who bring dogs to the store - in handbags, and, more commonly, on leashes? These are not service dogs, and Safeway should not be a dog park. What would the health department think of dogs being allowed in a setting where food is being sold?

Property grounds are filthy. Trash all over the sides of the building, parking lot going on for months. Homeless living on the property, trash flowing down 132nd because Safeway is not cleaning up their property. I’ve seen needles, and bullet shells left in the parking lot left of the building. This location really needs to clean up their act. Storage location behind Safeway is constantly covered by its trash. Do better!!!!

We placed a delivery order today for flash delivery. It stated it would be delivered by 5:25 pm. Got the notification that the order was completed and would be arriving shortly. Once the order showed up, I immediately noticed it wasn't my order at all. The delivery guy took it back to Safeway and I called and spoke to Elaina (in the dotcom department) who told me she runs the whole department and that there is nothing that can be done to fix the problem as I had already paid for everything and they made a mistake and sent my order to someone else's house. That the only way to fix it is if the other people send their order (my stuff) back also. I hung up and called back and spoke to Jasmine one of the PICs and she just laughed about it and said "wow, that's gay!" When I explained that my order got switched with someone else's order and both sent to the wrong addresses and I sent back what was sent to me. She put me on hold to call Tenell, the actual manager of the department (not Elaina) when I was hung up on. Tenell also said nothing can be done except to call the customer service department phone number. So once I got off the phone yet again with Jasmine after having to call 3 times and being told she was now on lunch not even 5 minutes after talking to her, I called customer service which I had to call twice. The first woman I spoke to at the customer service line didn't even know Safeway had grocery delivery but assured me that the delivery showed delayed but was on the way and would be to me with in the next 10 to 15 minutes, that if it wasn't then to call back. The second person I spoke with was smug and rude but was able to process a refund that will take up to a week to refund even though they take funds immediately. No one ever offered to re-pick the order and have it sent immediately as had been done before because this is the THIRD time this has happened from this Safeway. It is the closest to my house though. When this has happened before today, I called and spoke to Endless who had it re-picked and at my house in less than 30 minutes, how is there literally only one person who can re-pick and have an order delivered when they are the one who messed it up to begin with? I am so frustrated and disappointed about the customer service or should I say lack of customer service from every employee at store #1966 as well as customer service department employees I dealt with today! If it wasn't for the customers YOU WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB!! Have some pride and commitment to your job and customers.

Ghetto. My daughter was attacked in the parking lot by two drug scumbags. They were following her around in the store after she picked up our prescriptions from the pharmacy. My daughter grew up with two older brothers. A drug addict trying to intimidate her isn't going to happen.
The morons were trying to take my wife cholesterol meds.
They are lucky they didn't get shot.

This particular Safeway has changed a lot since covid happened, and it seems a bit understaffed.The rearranging of the store is probably due to constant shoplifting.

Can’t recommend this Safeway. At night they block the exit door with furnishings and shopping carts. This is extremely dangerous if there were a fire or active shooter situation to occur. I hope they stop endangering their employees and customers.
