Our experience with California Closets in Washington state has been an unmitigated disaster. To begin with, they attempted to install a unit on our wall, which failed miserably and resulted in significant damage to the wall itself. (there are about 20 large holes and they also broke through our kitchen closets) This left us with an eyesore and we have to stay in a room with a damaged wall for the foreseeable future. We are still waiting for California Closets to determine that the unit might not be installable and we no longer want to work with them.To add insult to injury, they are now subjecting us to a review before the refund process. They claim they need to conduct "extra investigations," which only adds to the burden of this entire ordeal. This happened in our bedroom and their assumption is that we have to accommodate their process from a mistake that they made. It feels like they're trying to wear us down, making the process as inconvenient and frustrating as possible. Our experience with California Closets (in Kent, WA) in Washington has been a nightmare. If you're considering their services, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere for a more competent and reliable option, as this has been an incredibly disappointing experience.

Trash management, trash products, Keirsia needs to be fired! Don't know how to run a warehouse and thinks low of everyone. Glad I left. If you work here or ever worked here. I am sorry you had to experience the worst management and worst company. That doesn't know the value of a loyal employee

I love California Closets ! And thankful the company saw the value in me when they kept me a permanent employee. I feel that I am not included as part of the team since new management has taken over. And I'm only writing this review for all those installers that had to go through this tactic environment and for all the work for here to have a great retirement, lose it all . and for all those customers that are seeing the drastic change . like I always say, I carry that company name in front of my heart so sorry for all the changes and all the bad thoughts that people have about California Closet they're great it's just who's running it not there for the team and transparent towards the corporate, or the people I miss you all !

scheduled an interview for the bellevue location, they asked me to drive to Kent from bellevue (ok, fine). I go to Kent and it takes 40-50 minutes in traffic. I get there and an employee by the name of Mary Burns begins the interview. I'm mainly leading the small talk conversation, and I simply ask "so can you tell me more about this job" and immediately she ends the interview and tries use this behavior as lesson to me about professionalism. This toxic exchange happened in the span of less than 5 minutes, she didn't allow me to explain myself. She simply said I wasted her time because "I didn't read the job description" (when has the job description described 100% of the day to day?). It's very clear that in this modern age, post covid restrictions, this could've and should've been a phone/zoom meeting, not in person. It's clear Mary doesn't care about other peoples time, because upon reading other reviews, it seems she does this very regularly. To be perfectly honest this seemed like quick and quiet antisemitism. she basically looked at me and I could tell she wasn't interested and i've seen that look on many other antisemites faces. I think they way she treated my interview time to be very disrespectful, she could've at least faked a 5 minute interview and told me she'd let me know. At least that would've shown me some sort of respect, I drove all the way down and sat in bad traffic on the way back. Simply put, this lady is a karen, and it seems that the entire company is run by Karens who value customers and potential employees time way less than their own time. Mary Burns makes close minded, possibly anti-Semitic, rude, and inconsiderate choices when hiring employees and I can only imagine how badly she treats her customers.

They promised in six week, delivered in 10 months. 3 sets of callbacks. Low quality and sky-high prices. Never will make the mistake of using them again.Services: Installation

Never again. Ordered in May of 2021 based on the promise of delivery within 6 weeks, and custom-built quality. It was all BS. They delivered 4 months late, and it was such poor quality, they had to tear it out and re-build it. Finally it's March of 2022, and we've got a mediocre shelf system that is not really strong enough to hold books. . . .for $5,000 and 10 months of my life. Absolutely will never use these chumps again.

Terrible experience. We had a number of issues with closet install and major quality issues with the product after just 2 weeks. They installed our closets in March of 2021, we had someone install our pantry and it was his first day, he was very frustrated and swearing in front of our kids. We contacted them for weeks after to get someone to come out, Louie, their install manager, finally came out and said it was one of the worst install jobs he had seen and that he would call us the next day to resolve the issues. We never heard from him or anyone at california closet. At this point we thought the kent store went out of business or that it was a wash for them to finish the job vs collect final payment. 11 months later they called us demanding final payment for an incomplete project they won't fix. We sold the home and made fixes to the closets before selling. They told us they had someone in accounting that "wasn't doing their job" and now we're dealing with having to pay for a job that was not completed. Nancy Link contacted the new owners of the house and says the job is complete because someone else moved in, which feels completely inappropriate. She will not discuss the situation further and has threatened to take us to collections for an incomplete job, she was confrontational and aggressive in the conversation, it was shocking. This California Closet feels like they have a very shady and unprofessional way of handling business, putting their customers in terrible situations. I would be happy to share my experience with anyone considering using California Closet, I would certainly be very cautious they will scam you. Feel free to reach out 206-384-0522

Have held off doing a review to see what sort of customer support you received if there was a problem. They lost stars on that one for sure. we moved to our new home in Auburn and had a designer come out prior to the move and give us a quote on some built in cabinets and our master closet. They turned out nicely so we went ahead with the project. I love the built in cabinets in our dining room, tons of storage space and the book case/storage in the living area are wonderful. The master closet is beautiful except I had asked for a space for long stuff like pants and sweaters and they didn't give me that so had to do some rearranging on our own. Fast forward to several month and I notice that where the cabinet is mounted to the wall in the dining area, there is a huge crack and it's pulling away from the wall. Call California Closets and leave an email. Someone calls back, they schedule someone to come out and look so I'm thinking wow this will be a piece of cake. Ha. This was in January. gentleman comes out, says yes they need to repair it but will take about six weeks. He wanted to take the doors off and store them and I said no, not if they weren't coming soon. So February comes and no one and it's been 7 weeks. I call, leave another message, Iileen calls back and says oh, my bad, I forgot to schedule anything, Let me contact our repair person and I'll loop you in on the email. i hate that term. Nothing. So being a nice person I wait two days, call back and get a different person. Who says I'll forward this up to our general manager and someone will get back to you in 24 business hours. Three days go by and nothing. By this time I'm unhappy to say the least. Called and left another message which said, either call me back or I will call corporate in California and file a formal complaint and if that doesn't work will be hiring an attorney since this is well within the warranty period. The first woman calls back and nice and friendly and said oh, didn't you get the email. they say they are coming in two weeks to fix it, we shall see. However, not sure I wouldn't go with one of their competitors who are less expensive and hopefully more sensitive to customer service.

The consultation, delivery, and install went smoothly. The price was just right and the customer service was amazing! My designer, Jill, was very responsive, and I couldn't be happier.
