This is a store for the crafter not the seamstress. And as far as customer service, they could use some improvement. Lots of fleece, flannel, fat quarters, and upholstery fabric. I saw a sliver of a section with some possibilities for a dress, but I do not recall seeing any silk, silk blends, crepe, faille, wool or wool blends. As far as the customer service, another customer in the store was more informative and helpful than any of the staff. When asked if they offered sewing classes, the salesperson/cashier abruptly said, " We've never had classes". No suggestions offered. Really?? I have frequented a lot of Joanne's and this is the first one to date that does not offer some type of craft or sewing class. I was just visiting in the area, but you can be sure this particular store will not be on my return visit. And as far as friendliness, the salesperson/cashier never even said hello. Earlier, when another sales person was asked if they had any corduroy, though polite, I don't know if she knew to what I was referring to. I do thank the helpful and friendly lady customer who sat with me and my nephew at the pattern book table for her information and assistance. She seemed to know more about what was in the store than the employees. I hope she applies for a job there. SHE would be a much needed asset.

This Joann's is closing soon as they are opening a new store at what used to be Sears in the mall. I was able to get some items at 70% off, but I imagine their regular prices will be even higher than before with the move. It will be nice to have more room in each of the aisles though (not much room to get two people looking now let alone with carts). They do have some good sales although their regular prices are higher than most. It was not always easy to find someone to assist you throughout the store, but I found the sales clerks to be friendly and knowledgeable. I'm also trusting the material checkout section to be much bigger at the new store (the wait at the old store was ridiculous). Oh, they do have quite a bit of material still available, too.

So much for closeout. Still overpriced. Most employees were great but one guy was so rude. Like he was king s#$^ and could not be bothered to help us

Jo-Ann fabrics in Kennewick is going to be moving over to the old Sears store front at the mall. Currently they have everything in the store on sale in order to get ready for the move. Even with this going on the store is still clean with helpful employees. I feel the sale prices could be better though.

There are always employees around the help and that are knowledgeable and friendly. That keep the store clean and organized.

Would not recommend this store if you're just getting into crafts or are younger than 40. Was waiting to get fabric cut for at least 25 minutes and the two employees spent a very long time talking to each other and the other customer there which I understand they were trying to make her feel welcome but they completely ignored me for another 5 minutes. When I finally got to get my fabric cut I honestly mixed up the amounts but when I mentioned that they looked at me like the world was ending and it was my fault so I just paid for the extra to save them the work later. Overall I felt ignored, patronized and like I was the problem for not knowing exactly what I needed for my project. I wouldn't recommend this particular store!

Nice place to get crafting supplies, and right now, Christmas decorations.Oddly enough, the store faces out toward a side road instead of inward toward the middle of the parking lot, so we parked on the wrong side accidently!

Clean and good selection of fabric. Prices a little steep; will only shop for the things on sale to break even.

Love this place!! They are well stocked & have much to choose from in many craft categories. Don't let the name fool you....they are not just a fabric store. Check it out for other craft items. Saw that they are relocating to abandoned Seats location in Columbia Center. Nice move!!! More space!!! Hope to see even more craft items.

Sadly the shopping experience isn't what it used to be. There's no greeting you as you enter the store. The employees in bulk fabrics aren't friendly, it's almost as if you're bothering them. Asking them for 3 yards of this or that. The employees at register's are no picnic either. This used to be friendly place to shop.

Small but get the job done. They always have great coupons. However the drive up is hit or miss. Sometimes very quick sometimes takes awhile.
