While looking for a gemologist online for an appraisal, I called every number listed and spoke to several people.I was treated with respect by professionals in the the business. Every person I talked to...until I called Garlands. The woman I spoke was very good at being rude, in fact the only thing she was better at than being rude was being impolite.So if you are looking for a gemologist to do an appraisal, I don't have a recommendation for who you see, But I would Highly recommend avoiding Garlands.

Not impressed. Man I worked with was curt and impatient. This was a few years ago. I was having him design a ring for me. I never went back. Went to Jewelry by Design recently and they created the most awesome ring using the diamond from my late husband. They gave me the red carpet treatment!

my mother suffered a health crisis...they cut off her rings garlands was able to restore 5 generations wirth of heirlooms...they looked nothing short of amazing. Iam so very happy with the restoration...I can now pass these precious items down in family. They look amazing!

James and Kris were absolutely remarkable to work with. They designed a very special ring for me to give my daughter on her wedding day. The ring held inside the ashes of a dear loved one. They designed the perfect ring that completely fit the personality of my daughter. The ring was stunning and I cannot thank them enough for their creativity and beautiful masterpiece. My daughter loved it. It was very special.

I have been going to Garland's for close to 20 years, James has custom made many things for me, he does Beautiful work, and Kris has such a wonderful way of helping you with design's. I personally recommend anyone looking for something original to stop in their shop, I think it's hard to find a good honest jeweler that you can trust, and they are real good people, you won't be disappointed.
