I only have Ferrell Gas because the tank was at the house when we bought it. Had I known about all the hidden fees, poor customer service explanations, and shoddy pipe installation, I would never have used this company. The only positive I can say is that the service technicians do their job on time, which is why I gave the company two stars instead of one.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! Not happy with Ferrel Gas, in fact, I will be looking for a new gas company next season! First, I was forced to have someone come out and relight my pilot light as they had turned it off because the tank was empty. Then the technician appeared to not know what he was doing, or he "milked" the clock as he took way too long to light the pilot light and THEN he caused a gas leak!!! All of which cost me $$ with every service not to mention the cost of filling the tank!! Not happy at all!!!!

Our experience has been nothing but 5 stars over the years. We have found they are well priced by comparison.With that said, we are happy campers!

This a very untrustworthy company. I bought a house two years ago that had a 120 gallon tank on the side of the house. Only thing hooked up to it was a fireplace that uses 9 gallons of propane a year. Even though Ferrell Gas could see how much propane was being used at my new house over several years, they came and filled up the entire tank with propane. Then when I don't have any need to refill the tank because of only using 9 gallons a year, they increase my tank rental fee 300%. Then when I tell them I'm not going to pay that, they say they're going to come pick up the tank and "NOT" reimburse me for the propane in the tank that I've already paid for. Or that they would reimburse me for the propane but they would charge me $375 for coming and picking up the tank and pumping out the propane. If I didn't want to be reimbursed then they would pick up the tank for free. I only paid $200 to fill up the tank in the first place. So now they're getting their tank back with all the propane in the tank to pump out and sell to someone else even though I already paid for it. Selling the same propane twice. So I'm getting screwed out of the cost of the propane I paid for to fill up the tank when I bought the house two years ago. Not very honest whatsoever.Well to add to my review. Ferrell Gas told me they would make an appointment with me to come pick up the tank. Great! Never heard from them and then today they just show up unannounced to pick up the tank. Only my son was home. I got home from work to see a nice surprise of a damaged gate left from the people who picked up the tank. My gate will not even close properly anymore. Just keeps getting better with these guys

When I called to set up my account the customer service was thorough and kind on the phone and gave me all the details I needed. The delivery person was polite, efficient and friendly. Wouldn't have known he was there except I walked out to check a sprinkler as he was reeling out the hose. Excellent experience over all.

Ordered and prepaid for a residential propane delivery. Was told to expect about 10 days for delivery. After 3 weeks the propane had not been delivered so I called and was told that somehow my delivery had not been scheduled. I was told the delivery would be placed on the schedule for urgent delivery and I would receive a call with an estimated delivery date. After one day since calling Ferrellgas I have not received a call back. Not at all impressed with the service for this propane order.

Staff was very nice but pricing is ridiculous. Tank fee each year is a money grab, they have done nothing over the last 20 years except fill at inflated prices znd hit us with a annual fee. Can't do much, no competition to offset this practice

Not a great customer service experience. A robo caller called me to tell me to call Ferrell with an 'urgent' message. I called only to get a recording saying they couldn't come to the phone. Gues it wasn't all that urgent. I left a message to call me back, which they did. Turned out my account was past due. I asked how and they said that because of a billing error in their computer systems, bills never went out. Then why tell me it's past due like it is my fault? Anyway, e=never been impressed with them. You have to call to have a delivery made (out last propane company came out monthly and topped off tanks). They charge for everything (fuel surcharge, unused propane gets a credit, but they charge $100 to apply the refund). It's your typical for-profit business....they work for shareholders, not customers.

I called to ask a question on copper tubing and instead of answering my question I was treated rudely, and when I asked to speak to someone who could answer my question I was told no and that she would call back when she had an answer! Guess what? She never called back! We pay a lot for this over priced con and to call and get absolutely no respect or not to be allowed to talk to a professional is unacceptable!

Sadly I would no longer recommend Ferrellgas, I was a residential customer for approx 8ish years in Kennewick , very pleased for the first 5-6 years, but last 2 or so years have been very difficult dealing with Ferrel, they would surprise us with new fees and also charge us crazy expensive prices for their propane- $4.99 a gallon- while other local companies were selling it for $2.97 a gallon. I could understand a little upcharge for the delivery but almost double the price? Ferrellgas made changes in their requirements to where we would have to fill up multiple times a year to avoid huge penalty fees! And we couldnt let the tank get below certain percentage either or another fee would be charged! We decided to cancel our account with them.... would not recommend doing business with them anymore...

For the past 2 years of listening to the hold music oh how customer focused they are, it's all a joke, you prepay for propane then they schedule you for a multiple day window. My last one being any time from the 31st to the 11th. The only reason I knew which day it would be is because I called to ask a few days later. Then they give you a day, not a time or window the whole day, also the people that schedule don't directly talk to who delivers, so they put a note they'll call you. Only to have you call back the day of and have them explain they don't call a head anymore because the drivers are to busy. The solution? just lock your dog in the house the whole day, leave your gate open and maybe the propane fairy will visit. Because no they don't call, they can't knock on your door, so if you have pets or the wind damaged your gate oh well they already got their money and that's your problem. Its like they reviewed cable installers and a Brothers Grimm novel for their customer service model. If you don't already have them I highly recommend you don't go with them.

Called and requested services on Monday 10/31, having informed them that our tank was well below 10%. Ferrel Gas refused to schedule a date for service, but instead gave us a two week window. Provided them with clear and simple instructions on how to gain access to the backyard, as well as granting permission to enter and requested a call prior to arrival. Plus, they required payment before providing the service. On 11/07 (Monday) they called and left a message claiming that they attempted service but "no one was home" to let them in on 11/02.... Ferrel Gas did not leave any note that day to say that they made the attempt, nor was the phone call prior to the attempt made. When confronted with their failure to communicate, they refused to make it right by coming out the next day. Instead, they pushed our service out another two weeks and said the only way they come out sooner was if we paid the outrageous emergency service fee. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and courtesy by this company. The office staff were friendly enough, but the workers in the field were uncooperative. Won't be using this company again.

They are reliable for delivery, but you have to prepay for how much gas you get? They just guess, ratrher than fill your tank and bill your credit card on file. Real Mickey Mouse system. You have to call and talk to someone (hey we have computers now) , they schedule the delivery manually (heh, we have computers now). Should be able to go online and schedule a delivery and get an approximate delivery date, and have the bill paid to your card on file, like a real business. As it is I prepay an estimate. Then after the delivery I either have zero balance or they owe me. The people are 5 star, their system is 1 star.
