I started at CrossFit 12 Stones about a month ago. Having played hockey, my entire life and fitness being a crucial part of my life, I was always interested in getting into CrossFit after my hockey career ended. I have thoroughly enjoyed working out at Cross at 12 Stones. I’ve left there with a great work out every time and the atmosphere is awesome. Makes going to the workouts exciting. Anyone interested in getting into CrossFit, I highly recommend CrossFit 12 Stones the owners Todd and Aryn will walk you through every step. They’re very kind, personable, and knowledgeable.

I’ve been a member for over half a year and there’s no other gym I’d rather be at! The owners and coaches are knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and so helpful for anyone who wants to start their fitness journey or jump back into getting active, 12 Stones is the place to be!

I started at 12 Stones CrossFit in March 2023. I have no experience in a gym let alone exercising itself. I was nervous about starting at crossfit as I had a perception of it being too aggressive for me. The team of coaches @ 12Stones CrossFit worked with me and my skill level and challenged me to get to the next level!! The scaled WODs have allowed me to work on my strength to build up to RX (as prescribed). If you are looking for a gym that is welcoming and a team environment, 12 Stones is where I will be!!

I really cannot say enough about this place. From day one feeling accepted by everyone from the owners, coaches and members. This is truly an amazing atmosphere. I feel empowered and encouraged during every visit that melts into my entire day! When I want to give up no one lets me. Every time I think of this place, make a post or write a review tears of joy well up because I get to belong to this awesome community of humans!

I have to be honest and say that I was at 1 point THAT guy. The one who tells you CrossFit is fake, it looks easy, pull up’s are fake, and many other things. I was really in to working out at the gym 2 hrs x day lifting and eating “right” for the most part. I won’t make this long. I was Completely wrong. I was invited many times and one day I came across 12 STONE CF and I told my self let’s try it and see what’s all about, how bad can it be. Let me tell you if you like a challenge, if you are like me and don’t like defeat, if you get frustrated because something looks so easy but is not and you like to push your self to limits you didn’t think were possible well12 STONE CF is right for you my friend. Give it a go and you will be surprise how the staff will challenge you, push you and at times make you feel like your broken, but at the same time they will help you rise to the occasion, they will help you step by step, they are not your “day to day trainer” they are truly there for you day in and day out, they are there to make a difference in your life, I truthfully Believe in them. They only thing you have to do it show up. Always keep pushing forward. You want a “challenge” here is one. Come and check them out give them a chance to make a difference in your life. At the end of the day this is for YOU. Now how bad do you want it?

I have never been consistent with the gym and always gave up after about 2 weeks… until I started going to 12 Stones. I’ve been going since end of February averaging about 3-4 times a week, and this is thanks to the amazing and supportive environment they create. All the coaches and both owners really make going to the gym worth it. They really push you towards your goals and celebrate every milestone, no matter how little it is. Thank you Aryn and Todd for helping me feel healthier and happier.

CrossFit 12 stones is a fantastic place to be introduced to the CrossFit community. The owner takes time to introduce you to CrossFit in a very intentional way, you’re not just released into a class to figure it out on your own. Once you begin attending classes the coaches help individuals of all ability levels to be able to do the workout in a way that works for them. Whether you’re brand new or a CrossFit veteran they always have helpful feedback to help take your fitness to the next level. If you want to get strong and have fun doing it, I can’t think of a better place to spend your time!!

I have really enjoyed coming to the structured classes by CrossFit 12 Stones. Staff and fellow gym goers are so encouraging, it’s easy to stay motivated and push through the tough workouts. This gym has a fun “get-to-know-you” atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome.

Todd Stone runs a very fun, very safe CrossFit gym! He substituted some movements for me in today’s workout and I got a great sweat in a 1 hour session!! Can’t wait to go back!

I was motivated, at first. I wanted to feel comfortable in my own skin, and although that journey is mostly a mental one, it does help to be in at a level of fitness that you're proud of. As a professional rollerblader I also had goals to take my passion to the next level, and with awe I HAVE NOTICED SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT IN TECHNIQUE SINCE STARTING CROSSFIT. The workouts that address core strength have made my slalom skating techniques immensely smoother and more articulated. Just one word. Mobility.For me the biggest win has been the mindset, which was something I did not realize would be a benefit. After years stuggling with being a "hard-gainer", also known as a person who struggles to gain weight, which I am sure has some truth. But the thing that was always holding me back the most was my own mindset. I thought, "This is how I am and how I will always be." I took a leap of faith with Crosfit 12 Stones. The owner did 6 personalized individual sessions with me which made me feel more and more comfortable pursuing something that felt so foreign to me. THE BIGGEST BENEFIT IS THAT EVERY MORNING WHEN I FINISH THE 5:30 AM CLASS I START MY DAY WITH A VICTORY, BECAUSE I AM WHO I CHOOSE TO BE, NOT A "HARDGAINER".The team has a great welcoming vibe, and I have nothing less than good things to say. I've made some great connections with other members and look forward to getting to know them better on my journey of becoming the best me. If I can give any one some advice from my own journey is: DON'T LOOK FOR MOTIVATION, LOOK FOR DRIVE. WHILE MOTIVATION MAY BE FLEETING, DRIVE WILL KEEP YOU MOVING FORWARD. HOW DO YOU FIND IT? ASK "WHY DO YOU WANT TO JOIN CROSSFIT?" AND TO EVERY ANSWER KEEP ASKING "WHY?" UNTIL YOU FIND A DEEP, DEEP ANSWER THAT MAY SURPRISE YOU. For me, at first, there were health and fitness goals involved, however, truly, truly I wanted to be the best self I could be for the people I care for the most. I wanted to be confident, strong, and driven. Sucess is a journey, not a destination, and I'm so glad I made Crossfit 12 Stones part of my journey. Thanks Crossfit 12 Stones!

Wonderful coaches, fun but hard programming that is always scaled to meet you at your current ability level. Love that they have an introduction program to help get you comfortable with the gym and the movements.
