I have a 2005 Subaru Forester that was having an all wheel drive issue. I had to install a fuse to over ride the AWD and have been driving around in front wheel drive only. Took it in and they were able to locate the solenoid and replace it. Car is back to AWD again which is important since it’s going to go to a new driver. Highly recommend them and if you have a Subaru with torque bind take it to them, they can get you all fixed up.

It is incredibly hard to find trustworthy people in the world of mechanics. After having dealt with the owner for a couple months (we had an extremely complex and unusual issue) and having spent lots of time talking about the issues we faced, I can say with absolute certainty that these are people you can trust. The vehicle was repaired and back on the road, couldn’t be happier!

Called, received a quote, and set an appointment. While they had the car they frequently kept my up to date on the progress. Picked the car up and the charge was a bit less than the quote. The results of the work was to have a smooth running transmission on my 2008 Cadillac CTS. Highly recommend All city Transmission.

All City was able to get our car in the next day and fixed the transmission within a week. This is after it sat at another shop for a month. They were professional, provided similar estimates to what we had received and fixed our car quickly. Really appreciated their service.

Took my 2008 Mazda 3 to them when I got an automatic transmission code P0758 Shift Solenoid B Electrical. After their diagnosis they quoted me $1200 to replace the solenoid and the wiring harness which seemed a bit steep for the job to be done but after seeing their reviews I figured they would know what they are doing and get the job done right the first time. When I got the car back two weeks later, the check engine light and code were gone but it was shifting much worse than before. On normal acceleration it would start in first gear and jerk hard into second gear almost instantly and the same code popped up shortly afterwards. I tried contacting them the same day the car was picked up but did not get a response so I left a text message with the details and a Mazda service bulletin that clearly states that using a generic, multipurpose or universal ATF can cause transmission damage and failure. The drastic change in the shifting pattern was a clear sign that someone had used a cheap universal ATF instead of the required original Mazda MV ATF. After several days of awaiting a response, I tried calling again to no avail. So I left another text message "Awaiting your reply." Their reply was that yes fluid was replaced and it was replaced with the appropriate fluid. Anyway, after several exchanges of text messages of their "repair" did not fix the problem then I need to take the car back to them for further diagnosis and more "repairs" and more expenses. Yeah that's not gonna happen. I changed their cheap universal transmission fluid for genuine Mazda MV fluid and had to replace the front passenger side engine mount that had cracked with the hard shifting. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason whatsoever. . . not even to replace the gears on a kids bike.

I have a VW camper similar to a Sprinter van and I live in Maryland. I blew a transmission cooling line between Kettering WA and Hood River Oregon and it smoked the transmission no fluid. At first I took it to the dealer they wanted nothing to do with it then I found All City and they fixed it New pump etc. This was approximately 2 months ago, I didn’t want to write the review without putting some serious miles on the transmission. After running up and down the Cali-Oregon coast I’m now back in Maryland approximately 4000 miles later, the transmission is shifting perfectly and there is no fluid loss. There are a lot of fly by night transmission shops out there, I got lucky finding them. I would pay the extra tow-fees to get my vehicle to them rather than having a compromised rebuilt transmission. Fiancé took vehicle in asking for estimate on a new transmission. Mechanics stated transmission is great but you need a control module. she trusted their expertise based on reviews. Got the module put in same issues. Take it back a couple days later and mechanics say it’s the transmission. I rarely right a complaint and it takes a lot for me to think people are not having good intentions. Our personal take on this company was very scummy trying to squeeze extra money out of customers looking for non issues.

They may be good mechanics, but I could never experience their expertise. Office wouldn't return calls, voice-mail, or emails. Ended up going to their lot after a week & 1/2 and retrieving my rig. They never did diagnosis my rig. Sorry, but the support staff needs some customer service training!Service: Transmission
