DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR GROOMING SERVICES FOR ANIMALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS!!! We have an 8 year old Saint Bernard who has trauma from previous Vet visits. He becomes very anxious when going into a setting that appears like the vet and is always very hesitant going into new places. I phoned Maser's to inquire about services and see if they'd be able or willing to attempt to work with my big guy. I explained to the person who answered the phone my concerns and they spoke with the groomer who said that they work with all dogs, sizes and temperaments and were confident in being able to get the job done. They stated I would be able to fill out a form to write out anything they should be aware of etc (our boy hates feet and ears touched). The day of his appointment I called to verify drop off time which was pushed to a later time of 11am without notice, had I not called we wouldn't have known. When my roommate arrived with him, he said the groomers/employees came out after completing paperwork and immediately tried to leash him with their leads and did not even attempt to greet him. At that point, Bennie (our pup) gave a warning growl/nip. He never bites or makes contact but will let you know when he doesn't like something, mind you all of this was clearly stated and documented and it was even offered that we help transition to the area he needed to be. As soon as this happened the groomer immediately reacts terrified and exclaims they aren't doing it, referring to the groomer and further stating he is "too aggressive". Now I understand and can validate fear, however, our Bennie has never bit anyone and is probably one of the most gentle giants you'll ever meet. As a groomer I think being prepared to handle situations such as this are necessary. I think the situation could have been handled more professionally and with empathy rather than treating my dog like he was some monster, it's completely normal and within reason for animals to act this way as they cannot verbalize their fears and concerns in any other way. I'm not upset that they made the decision not to groom him, I want anyone to feel safe or comfortable, it's really about how they reacted and treated us as a whole. Do not boast that you can handle any situation and then cowar at one of the most common and act surprised/shocked when the animal does exactly what the pet parents warned you of. I ended up finding a phenomenal groomer in Lynnwood that was absolutely amazing!! They commonly work with pets that have been banned from other groomers and/or vet offices for nail trims etc. They got the job done in less than twos hours (to ensure he would beat the rush of other pets to avoid any extra stress and anxiety) and Bennie also gave a warning growl and nip at arrival except they listened to us and allowed us to help bring him back and greeted him with love and without fear, they also reiterated how common and normal that is for most dogs no matter the breed/size. They ended up saying he did extremely well and cannot wait to see him regularly.

This is a pet store! The employees are having fun. The pets are so cute and the prices are right! Even smells like a pet store. Was so tempted to adopt this cuddle bug that was a cat, but as we lost our cat we want to hold off until we buy a house to have more room for pets.

Not the best customer service, but they did do a good job on her paws. The rest I felt was just so-so.

After our groomer of 10 years retired we have tried Maser's multiple times. Today will be the last time. The cuts are choppy and horrible. My family asks each time why I go back. Today my pets were there 7+ hours. I am pretty sure they had zero water or potty breaks. When I dropped my dogs off one of the workers wanted to take both my dogs to the back, she had a brace on her arm and could barely control one pet so I said no. Not sure what happens once the dogs are in the grooming area.

Most other groomers in Seattle need almost a month in advance for any grooming appointment to be scheduled. It only takes 2-3 days in advance at Maser's. Most importantly they do a great job at a very reasonable price with efficiency. My goldendoodle is 50lbs and usually need 5-6 hours with other groomers. These guys got everything done in 2 hours and charged us 30-40% less than other groomers. Will definitely bring my dog back

We love Masers! We moved about 40 mins away but continue to take our dog here as Paula is just the absolute best. Our dog is not an easy one to handle and somehow she's able to still groom him perfectly each time.

I've been a regular customer at this pet grooming service for years, and while overall it's been great, my last appointment left me a bit disappointed. The service wasn't as detailed as usual, and my pup's hair ended up uneven throughout his entire body. Hoping for improvement in the next visit, but generally, it's a reliable place that gets the job done!

Any time I visit Maser's they have what I need, even hard to find items. This place beats out the major pet stores by leaps and bounds. I highly recommend Master's.

Great staff - they know their products and how to use them. I have serious chewers. If I don't keep them engaged, they go for the drywall... right in the middle of the wall. Masres' staff suggested perfect shew toys, and now I have no more holes in my hallway walls! They've also helped find just the right fit harness for my uniquely shaped pup and food for my picky eater.

When "grooming" is the second word in the business name, you expect something pretty great. Instead, it looks like a sweatshop. The grooming portion is a separate entrance that you can't see from the main entrance. You walk into an office, not a retail front. Want to drop your dog off? Not so fast. You need to go back to the main store, pay for the service, and then return to the groomer. One of my dogs got a decent nail trim, the other was not ok with the technician there -- even with me present. Oh well -- things happen. They offered a refund, which would mean going back to the main store. I asked for a rain check instead, which ended up being written on a post-it note. Not very professional.Honestly, I'm not going back. I spent $50 for two nail trims, only got one, and I'm going to write the other $25 off to life experience. The pet store portion looks ok.

GO HERE! My pup (8 mo cocker spaniel) was kicked out of PetSmart for being too wriggly. He also has separation anxiety and a lot of fur.I brought him to Masers at 10:30 (their latest appointment) and picked him up around 4. He came out happy and with a good cut! The cost was $100, while at petsmart it would have been around $80 minimum. They were very patient with his first grooming experience and walked us through what to expect.

Hurt my dog and still charged me $75 with no mention of hurting my dog. Sad as I have gone there for years. Go again you can bet the farm that that isn't happening.

Very friendly and helpful. Been going here several years. They treat everyone as a person, not just a customer.
