They said nothing but great things about the staff and this hotel, they stayed at a bunch of hotels during the trip and they said this is the best one by far. “This was such a charming bed and breakfast. I loved how much love and time that the hosts put into this historic home. Full Maximalist decoration until you enter the rooms which are peaceful simple and clean. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and home cooked. It was also nice to chat with all the other guests and feel at home. If you have a car this place is very accessible. Using public transportation expect a 20 minute walk which is very charming.”
“We are truck drivers,me and my wife we stayed in lots of hotels but here we felt like home. Front desk ladies were so nice ,location is best with lots of food and jacuzzi in room with best view. For sure we will be back. Thank you ”

“I booked two rooms at this place because I had an eye surgery that was fairly close by. It said on the website that they had a pool but then when you get in the elevator it tells you the pool will no longer be there with their renovations. One of the great things about this place is they have parking inside that only cost $15 a day which was really great considering how sketchy was on the outside. Their breakfast was so great and so many options you don't need to even go to breakfast anywhere because they have it all for you. The beds were very comfortable room was very clean thank you for a great stay please take off that you have a swimming pool”
“Stayed a night and the room was clean and smelled good. Pool was nice and warm. Front desk lady was nice and informative. Breakfast was amazing! Out of all the hotels and complementary breakfasts I’ve had this one is the best! Large quantity of food was available and it was all delicious. Breakfast attendee was nice and was very welcoming early morning. The location is off the path a bit and the gas station on the corner is very sketchy but there was a security guard and cameras which makes it feel safer. Will be back in the future!”

“Visiting Tacoma Washington for employment. Had to stay for Thanksgiving not knowing what to do on my holiday I went to EQC. Emerald Queen Casino. I doubled my money and got out slots seat and walked around. There is a beautiful gift shop. And a Kool bar. I ordered a good ole dry martini yessssssss! Delicious, and while sipping I watched the Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions in a football game. I had a ball. Grown folks play ground. And there is a hotel here. Love it.”

“Came here with a truck and trailer asked the lovely lady at the desk if she could put me up front as I wanted to be able to see my vehicle, I booked a room with a single bed and all she had was a double and she still accommodated me with no up charge. Really nice room at a great price. Clean room park lot was clean no homeless in the area as you see all over Washington this place was surprisingly really nice. Just a couple blocks from the casino if that’s what you’re looking for.Rooms: Well kept hardwood floors new TVs quiet heat and ac unit smells good.Nearby activities: CasinoSafety: Felt very safe here”

“One side of the hotel is within spitting distance of I-5. The traffic noise is almost unbearable. The rooms were clean, and each room had a mini fridge. Wifi was good. Parking is pretty tight, especially for larger vehicles. The pool is nice and the workout center needs some help. Staff were nice enough, but it took four phone calls to get a receipt of our stay emailed to me. Overall, there are better options in Lakewood for the same price.”
“Got a little better manager I have known her for years. It has a lot of things to fix but not helpful very bad management and unfair treatment . I've been assaulted twice and the security guard is fake he didn't care if I was ok or not. Seattle office is not good ethier the stress here has been horrific. Told I have to move my storage and will not let me have time to do it it's the holiday time and it's closed most of the time . I need help I'm 73 and injured refused a relocation fee like everyone else got and the men I ask to help the manager and security guard said I can not use that person so I couldn't leave and was then made to get in more trouble with the court because of them.”

“This place is huge !!! This is the smallest Emerald Queen Casino. This location is crazy! After all my years of living in the rainy state ? I’ve never set foot in a casino until tonight ! My cousin/sister thought to bring me here bc she knows I’ve never been here, even when I use live here !!! I’m not a gambler ? But I will say this ? It will draw you in! It’s a good place to go every special occasion. There are people that will spend all their money here and never go home. Some win money some lose money lol … The only thing about this place is that I don’t like ? Is everyone smokes in here !!!!? I was ready to go then… I had to get out of my comfort zone and tried something new. I did ? and it’s not for me lolNonetheless, I enjoyed my time with my cousin/sister!”
“I was worried after booking initially because of the reviews. However, after staying my family and I had a wonderful time. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good (for a hotel breakfast). The pool was clean. I was even able to get my requests accommodated. I genuinely think all the bad reviews are for the Holiday Inn that’s across the street.”

“Dan is the man! This location is so nice quiet and peaceful. Everyone is nice and I highly Recommend staying here. If you are ever in the area and need a safe affordable place to stay please don't hesitate to book here! The rooms are huge and they accommodate their customers with whatever you may need. And ur furry friends are welcome to roll along as well. Keep up the excellent work everyone. I am glad I chose this property for my family to stay. Zay and Payton are amazing as well. I forgot to mention that they are always seen working hard keeping the property nice. Way to go fellas”

I booked here for a getaway because when I stayed here about a year in a half ago it was an excellent hotel the service the employees the hot breakfast. Now I would not recommend to anyone 1st don't stay in room 437 has bed bugs room 417 no hot water 200 deposit 25.99 for Xtra car to park in garage no no no hot breakfast so false advertisement there. Mt husband got bite by the bedbugs and not once a concern or how are you nothing very POOR HOSPITALITY!!!!!!”

“Rough exterior but the rooms are clean. Outdoor pool looks like it has been out of service for a long time. The staff are super friendly and the price is right compared to others nearby. Room furnishings old fashioned but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is not happening any more but they did have free coffee in the mornings.We worried that our car might be unsafe in the parking lot but had no issues over our 3 night stay, the staff seem very vigilant.Conveniently close to the Car Museum where our festival was held & also the Dome. Bus service to those spots was regular, easy and only $2. We also walked a number of times and it only took us 20 minutes.Walkability: 20 min walk to LeMays Car Museum and the Dome”
“Its tacoma.... smh. But it's close to all three casinos. They have breakfast. There is security at night. The office is open 24/7. Outside parking. It's not the best motel but its not the worse especially in fife on the strip where the casinos are. There's plenty of places to get food on that strip. Coffee shop.”

“Do not stay here. The neighborhood is dangerous, the doors have no security, there was a police sting while I was there and missing persons posters with that as their last known location. I was told at check in that I had to put a cash deposit down, which I had not been notified about ahead of time and was difficult to get back. Staff at checkout were extremely rude and unprofessional and I was told I would have to return for my deposit. I had business in town so I was able to do that but was met with another employee with a bad attitude that told me I would have to return the next day. I told them they needed to figure it out and they easily did, so I don’t know if it’s some scam or what, but I definitely wouldn’t stay here again and don’t recommend staying here.Rooms: The room itself was fineSafety: No locks on exterior doorsFood & drinks: Breakfast options were much worse than my previous quality inn stays”
“I have to edit this review because I didn't do this place NEARLY enough justice.My life was falling apart around me. I lost my grandmother, my home, my family and I had been searching for somewhere to stay that wasn't a shelter. Thats when we found the Howard Johnson. This wonderful place took us in (for a price, nothing is free after all!) and housed us for nearly 2 months till we got an offer from someone else. For 2 months, I went to school and came back to call this place home. For 2 months, I had a hot shower and a bed of my own. The rooms are kept immaculately clean between visits, and the fact that they have rooms that walk into one another (when you book the BIG ones) was just amazing. The staff at the time were some of the nicest people I had met. The breakfast down in the lobby made mornings bearable and the news networks they had on at the time usually had feel good stories playing. The air conditioning ACTUALLY worked unlike a few of the motels we had been staying at prior. The balconies are really nice, its easy to stand out there and get lost for hours listening to the traffic zoom by. Snowfall looks beautiful from those big sliding glass doors. For being in a weird area, it was probably the best thing that had ever happened to us.Im back on my feet now, with a house of my own, and it's all thanks to the howard johnson for keeping us alive. It may be a hotel, but in my mind, I still call this place home.”

“I came home to a flood (off post) at 9pm and I needed some where to go. I remembered staying here when I first PCSd so I headed over. The wonderful ladies behind the desk here were able to check me in without a prior reservation late at night and I was able to stay 4 days. Room was very clean, free laundry and free breakfast. Dog friendly, and lots of free parking.”
