Store has been in decline for a few years. No one working, empty shelves (especially produce), no carts, etc. Yet every week my bill goes up.

Employees (Michael) here are disgustingly rude, I'll never shop here again. Disgusting behavior by him and that old lady with the messed up teeth.

Generally like this store, however I was driving by on my way home and stopped for a pint of half n half. When I reached the one I could reach on the top shelf it had expired April 12, yesterday was the 19th. I asked a guy that was working back there for assistance. Every single one had expired on the 12th, he had at least 6 sitting on the floor and was able to see all the rest had also expired. Double check those dates. How does this go unnoticed for an entire week?

I usually love Safeway and we do go to this location a lot but this place really needs to hire more people to help with physically checking people out. My largest all time pet peeve is checking myself out at the grocery store. They almost NEVER have anyone working one of their checkout lines. And on the off chance they do one day, the person is never there and you need to call them over. Another pet peeve is that far too often, sale items do not ring up as such. I feel i need to take a picture of ever sale item so I can show it to someone when i check out, then coupled with the fact no one works the checkout line, i often give up and just pay full price because it is too much of a hassle to call them over. That being said the few people that do work the checkout lines are AMAZING and beyond nice. Especially, the older gentleman that always wears a Canada mask. He is always willing to strike up a conversation and help customers.

Marketing methods are hard to use (especially QR code). It's discriminating to those who don't have smart phones and difficult for those do... While I'm at it, I DO NOT like forced U-scan. Yes, I'm old-school but many young people are juggling children, trying to do it all. Retailers need to look at look beyond their profit margin.

NO PAPER BAGS AVAILABLE for months now! They only have plastic bags. Shame, not an environmentally concious store, taking my regular shopping to Fred.

Old man at the service desk has an attitude problem he hasn't figured out in the 70 years he's been on this rock.

We too have had multiple interactions, literally met with utter hostility, from the girl with the blue hair. Most recently tonight, she walked away after she saw me ring up an item that required her assistance (at kiosk next to the attendant station.) ALL of the self-checkouts were full with a line 8+ deep wrapping outside. My station began blinking, so I waited for her to come back. She was in the area between the self-checkout & first cashier stand. I looked around & there were now 4 stations blinking, and the line had grown even longer. I saw her look at the blinking stations then put her head down & continue ignoring everyone. So I walked over & caught her attention. I asked "are you the person working self-checkout?" She scoffed and said "I'm doing something, I'll be there in a minute" with so much contempt it was shocking. She huffed over & cleared my station (without ID verification), then proceeded to have words and/or treat every other customer insanely rude that was waiting for assistance. I've tried to be understanding with similar interactions with her in the past, I get that bad days happen to everyone, but clearly this employee shouldn't be in a customer service position. I'm not one to file complaints but I'm relieved to see that others here have also been moved to do so against this particular employee.

Great store, awesome products, great values, and even better values with the "Just 4 You" Safeway app.
