Issaquah Ross near Gilman tops as worst Ross store EVER for simple, straight-forward return transaction! Neg stars! Worst hospitality for welcoming profl visitors in town helping this city. I’m sharing the exp on here and ALL my social platforms. Wouldn’t be surprised if someone filed a lawsuit for false accusations practices and targeting persons of color, elderly, or those w disabilities. Prior to my return transaction, a tan middle-aged Indian/Middle-Eastern/Asian w shoulder-length brown, highlight hair clerk was picking/making comments to customer before me, a father w down syndrome son patiently waiting to complete their transaction. Clk and mgr on duty (a white, blond, short hair cut, blue-eyed male) both made for an ignorant, incompetent, unintelligent duo, poorly trained exhibited, prejudice, use of extremely poor judgement obviously intentional about avoiding yet another ret, neg for the segment. The low-level inexpd assoc/clk falsely accused me of wearing the shoes (never, absurd, stupid, ridiculous!!) immediately pulled from bag when actually purchased for elderly parent, barely assessed by touching and looking, just looked at inside soles not checking bottom soles (solid not discolored and never worn), makes statement “they’ve been worn. I need to get the mgr.” This was a multi-brown/tan multi-tonal colored shade comfort brand sandal purchased on behalf of elderly 2 days prior. I exclaimed “That’s ridiculous! It was just purchased… never worn!” She barely looks at it again and says “It’s been worn.” Told her “they all look like that with the solid brown inner sole. If you compare it w the other shoes they all have that same distressed color and texture… It’s pretty obvious if you look at it! I worked in sales before too! You barely even looked at it to make such a stupid call. Didn’t even look at the bottom soles to tell they’ve NOT BEEN WORN.” If she was indeed color blind, she made the poor judgement call, which I was already being targeted/profiled as a POC in work scrubs entering and going straight in line. The MOD just corroborated w the clk saying he’s never seen it at the store (laziness), barely looks himself giving that lame excuse too lazy to find item to compare, and defaults to encouraging to bring to the other store bc they can see on the video. I’m like what the hell kind of accusation he’s insinuating now??!!! “Look at video?? (Stupidly saying as a “scare tactic?” like I stole when clearly a receipt). Doesn’t make any sense! What does a video have to prove when I’m just bringing shoes back in the same bag w the same receipt. This is the kind of low-level Ross assoc at it’s finest insulting intell. This store needs a lot of help as indicated on their window posting “We Are Hiring.” Told the female clk instead of making false accusations all she’d to say she’s getting mgr to okay the return. Jumping to conclusions w false accusations just makes her look stupid and is prejudice. She completes the return for only one of my items as “able to compare” (lies) but completes it with a smile/smirk on her face as if she was proud of her actions when if behavior w wrong person, other than myself, could’ve potentially exacerbate to something worse. Thus, creating a more hostile situation. To proceed unethically in this world w those practices is purely JUST WRONG, EVIL! Upon leaving store, told the mgr that it’s disappointing they’d treat me like that just to avoid being neg for a segment (observed mostly returns, low customer volume for conversions, and hardly any items to purchase in the store). “I was planning on doing more shopping after my return, NOT ANYMORE!” I was able to return the sandals to the Sea Ross purchased from smoothly! No issues! Huge night/day contrast! Sea Ross was on another upper-tier intell level of optimal service. Easy breezy! It’s a shame the low-level of audacity the Issaquah Ross assoc/clk and MOD go thru pulling out worst strategies, prejudices, and all, just to avoid neg segment(s), and avoid having to explain selves to their bosses for processing a $25 ret. NOT WORTH IT!

I was in the store this afternoon I asked to use the restroom, the employee opened it for me and the restroom had human feces all over the wall toilet and floor. When the employee said something to the manager she responded "that's not my problem." Then I was checking out that same manager was the only cashier after having yelled at the other cashier that they needed to go on break right that second. I was the next person in line I moved up a bit and the manager turned around and YELLED at me "don't move up any closer I'm claustrophobic" with a horribly rude tone. I responded "I'm not" and she proceeded to start talking about me to the woman she was ringing up saying "I don't like when people do that I get claustrophobic" but I literally wasn't anywhere near her. Long story short I left the store without purchasing the probably $200 worth of items in my cart and will not be returning. Extremely embarrassing situation for no reason.

The worse shopping experience I ever had in Ross. The cashier wasn't friendly when checking out my items, but that was fine. I purchased 5 or 6 big art prints and my car was outside at parking lot, I didn't know I can't take the cart out to parking lot and return it back, so I try to take the cart out of door so that I can load my prints to car. Staffs in store was seeing me struggling how to carry these big prints out to store, but there was one white woman in her late 40, 50 yelling at me "cart can't be taken out, that's why you're are having a hard time going out!" I was so embarrassed but there was no staff try to offer some help. I spent more than $100 in store but received such a rude and bad attitude, it's not worth it and I will not go back to this issaquah Ross again.

I was here at around 7pm looking around for Christmas gifts with my mom and then I stumbled upon two different air fryers, when we went to look at it we opened the box to look so the product doesn't have any defects until this rude supervisor with short black hair started yelling to us disrespectfully out of nowhere and told us to leave the store. As we were walking out of the store we noticed that the same lady was talking disrespectfully to another customer. I do not recommend coming to this location!!!

Store manager Jordan was pretty patronizing when I asked about the fitting rooms. When I asked if they were available (because there was a bunch of clutter and racks which made it hard to see any signage or tell if they were open) she said "Well What does the sign say?" She could have easily said "there are fitting rooms open at the front of the store!"

Updating my review as they've recovered some from covid.First, changing rooms are still closed until noon. On weekends they try to have it open before noon.Staff customer service is hit or miss. This location has always struggled holding onto staff. Job pays minimum wage so you sort of get what you pay for. I'm glad some of the long term bitter cashiers have moved on as it was tiresome knowing how bitter some of them were.Loss prevention can be a bit over baring. lately I haven't seen one employed at this location.Changing rooms have gotten a little run down and since the mandatory covid cleaning has ceased they have gotten dirty again.I have seen many a parents let their kids play with items like they're toys and they do not force their kids to pick up after them selves. I'm sorry but that's bad parenting. Staff is not your maids.Dear parents: Please stop letting your child watch vids loudly on the phone while you shop. This is disrespectful and annoying as hell.Merchandise has gotten a little thin since before covid yrs. I use to come here because you could always find something. I struggle to find even basic clothing that fits me. They want trendy clothing built for the super skinny or obese crowds. I'm middle of this so I can't find anything that fits me any more.sept 2023. I am going to stop shopping at ross. They've gotten better about being open on opening time and opening the changing rooms before noon or one. they use to have good selection but have now limited their selection quite a bit compared to what it use to be. Good will has more on their shelves than here. I am unable to find anything that fits. Because the styles of the clothing are geared towards plus sized or skinny. No middle. I am going back to mall shopping. At least I find clothing there when I go.

I mean, all Ross stores are about the same, but this one seemed a bit light on merchandise and sort of off in some way. Okay, but not fabulous or exciting. Look closely for bargains or seasonal goodies, though, because often you'll find something nifty. Just probably not every visit.

I find this Ross a bit tidier than the one in Lynnwood. Aisles are more spacious. There are only 2 changing rooms near the cashier. This location is convenient since there are other stores there like Trader Joes and Petco
