AVOID !!!!! this bike store! Service department are a bunch of miscreants with personalities of damp moldy cardboard. Have had 2 bad experiences with them resulting in a broken chain and the other resulting with messed up gearing. No reimbursement or satisfactory repair. my bike feels worse after taking it there. Never again. Avoid!

The bike shop portion of Gerk's has gone downhill. I've been taking our family's skis and bikes here for service for the past couple of year. Lately I've been disappointed with the bike shop. I've had to bring a bike back several times to fix issues that should have been found earlier. When I've asked for recommendations, they aren't really providing them or trying to understand my use and making suggestions. I'll be looking for a new bike shop. The ski shop is still great. Will continue to take my skis here for service. I just wish they sold Moment Skis and/or Fischer boots.

Christian at Gerks Ski & Cycle professionaly handled the purchase of my new Specialized Diverge Comp E5 bicycle. The blke was professionally assembled and delivered promptly during this busy time of year. I have had numerous visits to this store over the years.

Walked in 30 min before closing and hoping to buy a set of skis and boots to use the next day. Mitched helped me to pick the right boots, heat molded them and mount bindings to my skis. And made sure I get everything right. Excellent service here!

Purchased a bike from Gerk's Issaquah last year. The bike is good quality and I am pleased with it. However, my experiences over 3 visits for various mechanical issues and a tune-up showed Gerk's lack of quality customer service. Most of the front-end customer service staff were friendly and helpful. However, one higher-level man, who I believe is the owner, was repeatedly condescending, would look at me without saying hi or asking what I needed, would start doing things without communicating with me about what he was doing to my bike, and just generally left me with a bad vibe. Perhaps as a woman only spending ~$4,000, I was not expert enough to be worth his time. Or, that is the idea he gave me. Also, on one service visit, I specifically asked them to check two issues I had noticed, which they wrote in the service notes. However, when I picked up the bike after service, I asked whether they had checked the issues and was just told, "Well, I'm sure they did because they usually check everything during a tune-up." But they could not give me any specific feedback or resolution on the two issues I brought up, so it seemed they were simply ignored. Gerk's does have a nice selection of bikes and I think they generally have well-educated staff, but if you are looking for great customer service, I suggest trying another shop first.

I've been to several shops to buy ski boots and have never seen such great customer service and individual attention. The fitters take care to listen well to your needs to find the best boot for your feet. If something isn't on shelf they can help with special ordering.

I've come here twice for ski rentals, and both times the equipment has been in good shape, and the staff were welcoming and very knowledgeable, and answered the many questions I had.
Ended up buying my boots here after buying boots elsewhere that didn't fit properly and couldn't be adjusted properly. Went from skiing some blues with difficulty to finding diamonds easy just with the boot change. Highly recommend getting boots here. Also got my skis here later, and they spent so much time answering the billion questions I had to find the right skis for me
