It took 5 calls/voicemails and 3 emails to finally get someone to contact us back and when they did, they assured us that they would get us a quote by the end of Friday and they'd for sure have the wood by the time our job started next Thursday. We heard nothing the rest of Friday and when we called them on Monday morning, they said they couldn't get it to us until Friday, not Thursday, which delayed the start of our job by a full week.
The product is adequate. Far from flawless but not the worst I've seen. But their failure to communicate on even a basic level and follow through with promises they themselves set is a huge problem in an industry where timing is everything. We were extremely disappointed.
UPDATE: After receiving the update on this review, they did reach out and got us the delivery on Thursday as originally promised. It was an hour out of the delivery window but at least it was the correct day and still in the morning. The problem is some of the wood was incorrect on the order meaning we wound up having to go buy the correct wood instead somewhere else.
People shouldn't have to post here to get the service that's promised. If they had told us from the start that they couldn't fulfill the order, either on time or the correct materials, I wouldn't be writing this. They promised both however and delivered on neither without significant extra effort on our part. It's not my job to make sure they do theirs.

Old man at front desk has an attitude and seemed mad to help out. Forklift people in the seemed cool.

Had a very disappointing first experience today. I won't be back.
I get it. I'm not the typical customer who walks through the door. Based on the last few recent reviews, my experience is similar to others.
My experience. I walked in. No greeting or even acknowledgement of my presence. After wandering around for a couple minutes, I walk up to the counter. Two gentlemen stood behind the counter. One was helping another customer. I approached the second man who was looking at his computer monitor. He didn't even look up. I politely asked if I could take a moment of his time. He says, "What do you need?" I said I had a question. He still never makes eye contact. As I say, "I'm shopping around for doors," he's putting a wad of chew in his mouth. Never looks at me... he says, "We don't do doors." The second gentleman appears to be talking to me now. "No doors here." I'll be honest, I felt dismissed, disrespected, and an irritant to them. Why on earth do you have a giant sign at the entrance that reads, "Open to the public."
As I turn on my heals heading to the door, he says, "Well, do you have another place lined up?" I said, "I've got it. I'll figure something else out on my own." And I walked out.
I'm curious, if Builders FirstSource doesn't sell doors, why is there an entire tab dedicated to doors on their website? Big doors, custom doors, interior doors, entry doors... and the list goes on. Someone thought I was a waste of time. Like I said, I won't be back.

I called this store to see if they have some siding which I was looking for and they said Yes we have it.
I was driving 1 hour to get there and I figured out they don’t have it. An old man from the front desk was very rude to me, the worst customer service ever. I will never go back to this store very rude person.

I've had the most wonderful customer service experience at Builders FirstSource in Issaquah. Scott went above and beyond in making sure the Versetta cap stone I ordered was the right shade of grey. When I first received it and got it home it didn't look right. Scott called the distributers, showed them the pictures that I took. Thinking the dye lot might be off he had a second pallet of cap stone inspected and sent out ASAP. I also noticed the same kind of service taking place with other members of the sales / service staff. If you're looking for a great place to get building supplies, this is in. Excellent product knowledge, customer service, and they care about what they are doing. Thank you again Scott & Builders FirstSource Issaquah.

They don't want contractors business anymore. This used to be an okay place I would give it zero Stars if that was an option I've waited over a half an hour for three simple pieces of lumber. Just close to the public that would help then people wouldn't have the expectation of a business.

I worked at BMC from a yard guy to a Load builder for 3 years. I left right after it changed to BFS. It was awesome, but not anymore. It’s a shame. Some good people there. Ejmin, Jim & all my fellow load builders & truck drivers. It will never be the same.

Leaving Voice Messages is not an appropriate form of receiving customer service help. Please turn this off. Create a waiting on hold system. It's not much better but it's not a complete waste of time or learn to pick up a phone.

Builders First Source in Issaquah has a delivery driver that is purely racist and has made racist comments against the Indian community while delivering supplies to my home today. He was impatient and rude and was insulted by my presence as an Indian and did not treat me with any humanity. His angry demeanor for having to wait less than five minutes after his arrival call (see VM snapshot and doorbell camera times) and wanting to make a forceful delivery while a car was parked in my driveway was unacceptable . For absolutely no reason, while i was trying to communicate that i was going to take the car out and that i had just a minute back seen his message and stepped out, he got super angry and cursed me for being late to respond and called out that he has to deal with all Indians this way and that he would not deliver. He was insulted by my presence and even wanted to call the cops on me because I came closer to him. A very insecure and ignorant person who has no right to be representing BFS should be let go of his job duties with no remorse. Truly unprofessional driver and beware if you do business with them.

Nice salespeople but pricey!I just checked some quotes for certain materials and I left very quick. 30 to 40 % more than others. Example Tyvek (9x150) $300 a roll others $210 or even less......siding.....2xlumber all $$
