I don't get all the negative reviews (most from ages ago) except to say there's a lot of highly affluent and exceptionally entitled people in this area with zero self-awareness. To the negative reviewers: So you had to wait 20 mins for your Rx because you were too impatient to wait for the text message saying it's ready...poor baby...a minor inconvenience of your own making. I've frequented this location and its Pharmacy consistently for the last 3 years (before and after merger with Rite Aid) and not once have I ever experienced anything short of exceptionally friendly, courteous, and prompt service from literally every employee I've encountered. I've been greeted every time I've stepped inside the door ...every time! I can't think of another retailer I can say that about.

I had an experience here yesterday that may make me change where I get my perscriptions from.I was trying to get ahold of a perscription the ER wrote for me, and this pharmacy did not have it in stock. They also then told me that if they don't have it in stock then other pharmacies wouldn't, either. So, knowing thats not true I called around and found two other pharmacies within a 5 mile radius that carried it. Bartells told me they would tranfer the perscription but the other pharmacy had to call THEM to get it.Bartells literally had me stressed out, arguing with costco and walgreens that they had to call to get my perscription and that is definitely NOT how a tranfer is done.Turns out Bartells pharmacy gave me not only false, but very illegal information. The type of perscription I needed was a controlled substance and you CANNOT "transfer" that perscription if its new and has never been filled before like bartells told me repetatively they would do. Every other pharmacy I called told me bartells told me incorrect information.Absolutely not acceptable, at all. To get a very sick customer so riled up and confused just trying to pick up medicine that could have had a very simple solution. It took me six hours between calling and playing telephone with them and other places to get a hold of what I needed because of the false information run-a-round this pharmacy initially gave me.Very, very upset. Get your stuff together, Bartells!

Pharmacy is terrible. They won't fill a prescription that you call in beforehand until you show up to get it. THEN they will fill it and you wait for 15-20 minutes. Pharmacy is severely understaffed. Drive-thru is now permanently closed. I will have to move my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. Bartell's is no longer a convenience.

Pharmacies all across the nation have arguably become one of THE most difficult places to work. The entire staff at the Issaquah Bartell Drugs store (with special accommodation to “help me” Rhonda and sweet, patient Kevin) deserves a giant round of nearly constant, resounding applause and recognition for the essentially thankless, nearly around the clock job they do every day for Bartell Pharmacy customers. They are grotesquely understaffed and have been for well over two years (an unfortunate predicament of their and essentially everyone’s industry these days), they are (in my opinion) under paid, they interact with unpleasant, sick and sometimes dangerous people all day long, and then return the very next day to continue their noble work in spite of its difficulty. I have had multiple encounters (over 20) with this Issaquah Bartell store and they are uniquely dedicated to getting their critically important jobs done. I feel overtly and passionately thankful for these important workers and the jobs they do. I know it’s difficult, but if you can possibly find a way to express your own thanks to these workers, or at a minimum to simply be a little nicer to them; it would go a long way to keeping them coming back. I for one do not have any idea what I would do without them. ?

Went to pick up prescriptions at 6:10pm and apparently everyone in the pharmacy already left for the night. No one alerted us to this even though we got messages earlier in the day that prescriptions were ready. Very unprofessional.

Convenient bartells but…… the staff totally needs to be fired, they dont answer the phone, you pull up to the window and your wait time will always be at least twenty minutes. They take their sweet time and complain about being “short staffed” but so is every other drug store in the world and they fill prescriptions faster than this bartells. Even the issaquah location has better customer service/wait times.

I have been calling multiples time a day for FOUR days and the phone is never answered. I've left messages and no return calls. Their delivery company lost my medications and I have now been out for two days and apparently no way to get them refilled. Unacceptable. If I was in town I would be there in a heartbeat - I think that's what you have to do to get anyone to talk to you.

Bartell's is a sad situation now that they aren't family owned anymore. The pharmacy is a disaster and under staffed. Those who do work in the pharmacy are so over whelmed that they're rude and not interested in helping the customers get their prescriptions. I used to love Bartells. Had to transfer all my mother's prescriptions to a different pharmacy.

Pharmacists totally rude. Refused to fill pain medicine scripted on surgery discharge form claiming all info was not there. Rude to Dr when she called from surgery center. They told Dr they couldn’t deal with it as they were short handed. RX was filled rapidly by nearby RiteAide with no problem

Pharmacy has gone downhill since family sold. Long wait times in store and over the phone.

I went for a flu shot.. first they refuse me because I was 4 minutes after 5pm and they don’t work after 5pm apparently. I go again and they tell me that I need an appointment. I go to the web site and it says to come walk in. So I walk in again and get refused again. The store is totally empty, yet their staff (mask dangling under the nose!) says they are so overworked that they can’t do it without appointment.. so I leave for Rite Aid, where they did it on the spot, no appointment, no problem, and until 10pm!! Don’t waste your time with Bartell. They have allergic reactions to customers.. Rite Aid is definitely better, friendlier, more efficient and competent..
