We had this shop recommended to us by the owner of Coastal Yarns in Cannon Beach. It was a bit of a drive for us to get up there but I am SO glad we made the trip! I bought three braids of roving and am currently spinning the 21 micron merino in the Taffy Rope colorway. It's beautiful! The rabbits were very cute and the person working when we went was such a delight to talk to. We'll be returning in the future.

Lots of beautiful yarn. However I did not see a budget friendly selection, especially for someone that is at a beginner/intermediate level. In addition, the place smells like a pet shop. There were three dogs and a rabbit.

Delightful store with friendly and knowledgeable owners and a beautiful selection of yarn. Their entry courtyard, where they have demonstrations of yarn spinning and such on summer Saturdays, has a view of the Port of Ilwaco marina.

Stellar selection! They even make their own yarn and do dye on site! They have spinning wheels too!

Headed toward Long Beach and stopped off in Ilwaco for a coffee and a peak around. Almost everything was closed on the water front but Purley Shell was open and fiber shops call to me like mermaids to fisherman. Really nice selection on yarns and supplies, adorable shop pup and super friendly proprietress. Actually now follow them on insta and the classes they hold look great, wish I lived closer to attend some. Even if you don’t knit, crochet or fool with fiber , stop in for a friendly word you might pick up a new hobby

Should have taken more pictures cause the store is super cute inside. Lots of selection. I went in here for a gift of someone who had mentioned they wanted to start knitting. The woman at gave me the tour of what different materials they had. I decided on locally ones that are dyed in the port of llwaco. They printed out a option for ? scarf making. I decided to also get myself set up as well. Very cute shop would definitely recommend stopping by!
