Never had an issue with any letter or package arriving at my mailbox, so I don't know what other people's problems are (and using the term people loosely). If you are thinking of moving to Hoodsport, don't. Bunch of entitled, whiny snots who complain about everything from the Hood Canal store to the Lake Cushman Maintenance Company to the post office. Evey week, someone is ranting about the service at the post office that does there best for being such a small office and they pick and harass the young kid that works behind the counter there. People need to remember the roads around here are private so your package MUST BE LABELED correctly or it will be sent back.

Worst . Mail.is never delivered on time. Packages that are reported delivered by Amazon take a week to show up in box or.they.never show at all.

Staff is uneducated about USPS services & makes up "company wide policies" on the spot. I called about having a package sent there for General Delivery (phone call is just a courtesy to the PO that a package is incoming), and the staff member claimed that "ALL" USPS locations require an application on file to receive General Delivery packages. I have used General Delivery all over the country, and not once has any other post office required anything other than my ID when I pick my package up. 0/0 stars for customer services to this USPS location

It's okay. Just a post office. Never had any real problems. They bent a book we ordered once though to fit it in the PO Box, so that was kind of lame. Mostly fine though, everything else is easy.

Brenda, Bo and Mgr.Terry please come back to our post office in Hoodsport. You guys were the best ever.Now we have rude people that are working there not to mention they are worthless employees. This week we have someone filling in and he is a very big help. Can we keep him? Please?

I'm going to assume the employee's are over worked year round. It's the only excuse for all the miss delivered mail and lost packages

Returning to the area, have had no issues accessing my PO box/mail thus far. Also, stopped in today for another request, and realized I was there a few mins before their lunch break. I suspected I may have to come back later, yet their customer service was friendly & efficient. Was in/out in less than few a minutes, with no issues.After reading past reviews, I was a tad anxious going in, but I witnessed the customer before me receive great customer service and they followed up with me equally as kind/quick.Bad news spreads quickly in small towns, so wanted to take a moment to balance out what others customers have experienced.

The guy who works there is a dick. Won't give me my mail. Said he was returning it I was a day late on my P.O. Box. Told me to screw off. I told him he's a prick. I. Surprised he's not fired

I'm shocked anybody had anything nice to say? To whom do these people answer? After soooo many bad reviews with the same chronic problem of lost mail, turning away packages, etc, the problems continue Either sone sicko with a twisted sense of humor works there who enjoys the turmoil they cause or the lazy, incompetence is beyond belief! Same package turned away twice after confirming proper address several times UNFRICKENBELIEVABLE!

If only mail actually arrived and was not lost or mis-delivered or flat out RETURNED (for no known reasons), I might have something positive to say. On top of it being a gamble if you’ll ever get your mail- don’t EVER go in, in person, because the verbal abuse they will spew on you with flat out refusal to get your package is completely shocking. Having lived literally all over this entire country in big cities and small towns alike— I can safely say this post office will definitely provide an experience unlike ANY OTHER POST OFFICE ON THIS GREEN EARTH. Too bad we can’t give negative stars because there is ZERO things positive to say about this horrible HORRIBLE JOKE of a business. Sadly, even the postmaster Lee knows the government never bothers to fire anyone, which is why you’ll over hear him bragging about his job security as he tosses packages into the RETURN “undeliverable” pile simply because he doesn’t “feel” like doing the job he was hired and is paid to do!! One day, someone could end up “going postal” on that horrible place!!!Hoodsport Post Office is the absolute worst—bottom of the barrel!!! Find another post office if you expect delivery like every other town in the USA! I switched over to a PO Box in Shelton last year, and while it’s some distance away— the pleasant experience and 100% reliability is worth it. ZERO STARS FOR HOODSPORT POST OFFICE.

Consistently miss handling packages, and behind on deliveries. Very common to have miscellaneous issues with sending or receiving packages. Always having packages returned to sender, with no apparent reason to why. Customer service is not exactly up to par either.

Worst post office by far..missing packages, misdelivered mail, no care or concern from the employees or postmaster, I have no idea how a business can screw up so much and still be around, but the Hoodsport post office has somehow found a way..save yourself a lot of time and frustration and find a better option than this place,
