Where do I begin? Brenda is sweet, kind, and tries to listen. Now, for the bad...she is not a professional and does not guarantee her work. She gave me an amazing cut so I thought I'd try her for color. That was my first and last mistake. I have red hair and when she was completed with the color, it was a bright copper at the roots and a blonde color at the ends. I let Brenda know that I did not like the color and she said she could "fix" it. Well, the "fix" was worse than the color I started with. I didn't trust Brenda any longer and did not want her to "fix" it again. Assuming she was a professional, I asked that 50% of my funds were returned to me. Not only did I not receive my money back, but I was also totally ignored. I have spent over $550.00 to have my hair fixed and have been ignored by a "professional". All I can say about this salon is buyer beware. If the stylist only accepts Venmo run like a rabbit, they do not guarantee their work and you have no recourse. This was a total disappointment and HUGE waste of money!

Brenda is a skilled beautician! My hair is thick, curly, and impossible to cut. Brenda is the first beautician , who has cut my hair so that it lays really nice. I am 65 years old and have been to many salons. Also Brenda's prices are reasonable. At St. Lucia's you will get a great hair style, feel welcomed, and appreciated for being you! Thank you Brenda!

Brenda, the salon owner of a small shop, gave a terrific cut to my thick, semi-wavy hair! I showed her a couple photos of what I was hoping for and she matched the style perfectly! I had tried a few salons over the past two years...finally found someone who knows their profession and is reasonably priced. Thank you.

I just got my hair cut by Brenda today- she fit me in and I am soooo grateful! I was long overdue and looking for a new stylist and was hoping to find someone local (Purdy/Wauna). I read a recommendation from someone on a Gig Harbor Facebook site and decided to try St. Lucia salon. I called and she fit me in, as all I needed was a cut. Brenda was very kind and proved to step up to her reputation (A+). I showed her a few photos I had saved on my phone and she was able to recreate the style for me and also introduced me to a product that works well with my fine hair to give extra lift and body. I have put her number in my contacts and I definitely will return! Thank you again Brenda

I can't rate this salon. Because I'm not satisfied. When I went to have a pedicure, the owner noticed I have fungus under my toenails and she went ballistic on me. There was no one else in the shop, she said, I wouldn't tell you this if there was anyone else here. But you need to go and see your Dr. have the toenails removed! I can refuse to serve you. It isn't our job to remove the fungus. She then cleaned the nails and said she was not going to polish them because she wanted the Dr. to be able to see the fungus! She said come back when your new toenails come in and then I'll polish! Well, I went to see my Dr. My Dr. said she has never heard of Anyone having toenails removed for fungus. IT would be different if I had an ingrown toenail or infection, but she didn't recommend the removal of toenails just for fungus! She has prescribed meds for me. To the owner of this shop I say, I appreciate your honesty, but your customer service skills need some work! Even if no one else was there to listen to your tirade! And please, do not use tools on a person's toenail as you are launching your rage. You were rough and I got hurt by the tools! There was no need to cause my toes to bleed just to make your point! I am not coming back to have you polish my toenails or for anything else for that matter!

Best pedicure I've gotten thus far!! I had so many blisters from wearing shoes all day and now they feel great. I highly recommend this place. Suns out, toes out! :)

I went to Nails by Jade based on the glowing recommendations from other customers. While the pedicure was okay, the physical condition of the salon is awful. There is no central heat, just space heaters and even though it was not freezing cold outside, it wasn't really warm inside either. The towels were ragged and dingy grey and it didn't appear that the clippers and other tools were sterilized between customers. I will not return.
