I could not be happier with my recent visit to Route 16. A very knowledgeable Heather fitted me with excellent hiking shoes. I have wide feet and high arches. Not easy!

I was having severe sudden ankle pain after buying running shoes from an online retailer. I went into Route 16 to talk to them. They took time to watch my walking pattern and foot shape. The spent a good time finding shoes that would match what they saw and explained how the current shoes could be causing the issues. After one run in the recommended shoes I purchased from them, the pain was 100% gone. Thank you so much for helping me and its such a relief to know I can still run!

I went into the store with two pairs of puma suede shoes. They couldn't find an insole that was just right for my shoes. I told them I had mortens neuroma and I just wanted to be able to wear my shoes. They hand made an insole fix and it worked wonderfully. Then they wouldn't let me pay them for thier work. Such an amazing bunch of people that work there. They have my business for ever.

Outstanding service! I’m not fluent in running/walking shoes but Heather really knows their shoes. They have shoe reps visit them and teach them all about their stock, what’s coming next year, what is discontinued, why certain shoes work for various purposes. No pressure to buy, just a desire to meet your needs. Thank you!

The crew at Route 16 Running are amazing. I was having achilles tendon issues when I was running and I went into the store and told them what was going on. They took one look at my shoes and the way I stand in them and they knew right away what was going on. They gave me several suggestions and I tried several pairs of shoes on that immediately relieved much of my discomfort. I appreciate the experience and knowledge that Miguel and his crew have. I was so happy to get the kind of customer service that Route 16 provides. He diagnosed my gait, pointing out how one foot pronated and found the perfect shoe to address my particular issues. My HOKA shoes are so comfortable! He also ordered a pair of black leather HOKAS that I can wear at work. I highly recommend them.

They are the best! I've been coming here for years. So many shoes, feet are SOOO important to take care of properly! All the staff are so knowledgeable and helpful in whatever your foot issue might be, or just getting you the right supportive shoe for the exercise that you do.

These folks know their stuff. They took the time to listen to my foot issues, analyze my gate. Zeroed in on the right type of shoes for me in several brands so I could compare the subtleties, found me some insoles for my old shoes, too. Really good shop!
