I am writing this review in hopes others can avoid putting their animals through what ours endured at this establishment.
Our dog went in to have a mass removed the size of a marble which we were told would be a very minor surgery, and came out with a 12 inch incision with zero explanation.
To make matters worse she then developed a seroma which we called to report and were told to send over photos. We did this immediately and were informed we would hear back from the vet that afternoon. THREE DAYS later we received a call from the front desk that if we were concerned we can pay $70 for a check up exam. I expressed frustration with this and asked to speak to the vet, which I was then informed they were busy but they would relay a message, which I asked for the vet to call me back when they are able. The next day I received another call from someone else at the front desk reiterating if I was concerned, I could pay $70 for a check up exam.
We obviously took our dog to another veterinarian immediately were we felt they actually cared about helping our animal instead of how much money they could drain us of. We have been to many different vets and have never felt that asking to speak directly to the vet for any reason was a big ask, especially the one who performed a surgery on your animal that you paid $1,200 for.

I love this place and have been coming here for years but I'm getting ready to give up on it. I can never get a appointment right away anymore. It's weeks or even a month out for anything. My dog is old and get pancrititus every now and again. Usually I can get her in right away, she gets meds sometimes fluids and I'm on my way. Not anymore I guess. I wish you guys would fix this.

I love this place but my recent experience has been a bit disappointing, my dog ran out of Simparica Trio and I was hoping to get a prescription for a new dose but would need to make an appointment for an exam which could not tell me how much it would cost. I finished it today and got 3 months worth of doses and the bill was $196.

Can’t say enough good things about this place! We started going when we were sent by the Northwest Boxer Association, while fostering a boxer. We were so impressed by the kindness of the staff and the knowledge of the veterinarians. We also loved that they allow you to come in with your pet during the appointment!
Fast forward, we are now bringing our black lab and have had just as positive of an experience. At one point, we were to bring our lab in to get fixed and forgot to bring him in fasted. The staff was so forgiving and kind towards us, even though I am sure, we messed up their day and schedule. Highly reccomend Purdy Vet!

minus five stars. staff is a joke. as my dog was suffering from a bad UTI I had a horrible experience with this place. called multiple days in a row could not get answers and was told I would get a call back never happened. finally on the fourth try I was able to talk with the ever so rude and anal retentive Josh wohlstadter . what a joke this man is. could not get a word out without him talking over me. was rude raising his voice at me and using foul language threatening to not ever being able to bring my dog back to them again and sending my dog records somewhere else. how could you hire such a man to deal with the public. sure there are many respectful vets that could take his place if this establishment was smart they would can him asap. Be glad to take my business elsewhere. as dog owners we spend thousands a year or more to keep you employed have a little respect to the people that keep you working. if your smart you will change vets. I only put one star because I had to this establishment deserves negative star ratings. don't let them fool you with fake smiles.

Over the past 6 years, we have taken several of our pets to Purdy Vet for routine exams and specific treatments. Unfortunately, we have found a decreasing level of customer (pet owner) service and a significant increase in costs. Pervasive rudeness is commonly demonstrated by the staff. We have switched to a friendlier vet nearby.

My little girl had two extractions yesterday and i was very pleased with Erin and her care!! The office lately has failed a bit at communication on estimates and intake procedures. Also the young gals upfront need to trained in customer service etiquette.....when Kelly is away from the intake side of the desks....or whomever sits there...never keep your back turned on people waiting on that side without turning
smiling and acknowledging they will be helped in just a minute.Thats a function of management . There were 3 people standing there without so much as hello.

We thought we would have to put our 5 year old Lab down!
Purdy vet ( customers for 20+ years) said she tore her ligament and displaced her knee. They charged 875.00 to tell us that + xrays and meds. They said she needs a surgery that costs 8000.00 and they said it won't get better in its own. No other options.
We called a euthanization Dr. Amora is medicated, but can't walk without extreme pain. He said No! She's only 5 yrs old and he sent us a link to a brace and told us that this is a common injury and 90% of owners cannot afford the surgical repair. She will build scar tissue to reinforce the knee as the ligament heals.
? purdy vet did not give us any of this info. Infact, they said that for 13 weeks she needs to be isolated and then after surgery 4 to 6 months so she doesn't tare the hardware out of her knee.
We thought our best option was to put her down. 24 hours of tears and agony.
We called a euthanization Dr who told us No! We found out for free.....that this is common and he sent us a link to an ortho brace. He said with a healthy diet and glucosamine added to her food and resting her as much as possible scar tissue will form to reinforce her knee and the ligament will heal.
We never thought to question our Vet and would have put her down ( severe pain& cannot walk) based on our only given option of an 8000.00 surgery.
