Great service and wonderful people. Very polite, professional and hard working. I was able to be seen on a Saturday when my dog was really sick. They took their time and were very thorough about wiping everything down between patients. This is my new primary veterinarian. Would highly recommend.

I have a particularly reactive pup and Dr Hoffman, his wife, and their lovely team did everything they could to make my dog comfortable, but still get the job done!

Dr. Hoffman and staff are a treasure. I was very skeptical when Dr. Kirby left, but had to remind myself he never steered me wrong for over 40 years, so I gave Dr. Hoffman a chance. Sure glad I did. He practices just like Dr. Kirby. Goes in, diagnoses and takes on the task at hand. He's very good explaining everything. I honestly can't say enough about him and his wife as well. The dynamic duo!

My favorite Gig Harbor Vet. Dr. Hoffman and staff make sure to develop a personal relationship with owners and pets. It has a small town vet feel, which I am so happy to have found.

I have been bringing my pets here for years and am so glad Dr. Kirby found Dr. Hoffman to take over his practice before he retired. The whole staff here is so caring and kind. They are very considerate, especially with reactive and nervous pets and always seem to be able to find an appointment when our pets have issues. We are very fortunate to have this as our local vet.

We don't think you will find a more kind, caring, skilled and accommodating veterinarian in the Gig Harbor area and beyond. Dr. Hoffman and staff (especially Nathan) will always be our choice to care for our precious canine family members.

if you are looking for old fashioned Veterinary care, you have found it!
Dr. Hoffman bought this practice in 2022. He is a very experienced, skilled, dedicated and compassionate. His stitches are plastic surgeon worthy!
He truly cares and takes the time to explain. Instead of the quick your cat has a heart murmur and could drop dead. This came from my vet since 2006 and two of their doctors.The information I needed was so much more. Dr. Hoffman provide the knowledge I needed and validated what I had seen in the past.
You can probably tell I have several cats. Currently my senior is very ill. Dr. Hoffman and Frances did not give up when he was in surgery and they did not find the source. They kept on looking and found the problem. (Just an FYI, they are well aware I would pay anything and everything to make Morris well. Calling for approval was not needed. Also I am a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. We understand each other) GOD willing no cancer and he is on his way to being well. I am so grateful.
Since I have outed myself as a medical provider, I will finish with my greatest compliment and recommendation. Dr. Hoffman and his entire clinic practices the way I did. I walked patients in all the time, skipped lunch, took messages after hours. I did not want my patients in the ER if I could help it. They are the same!
So change your veterinarian or start care here. I did after over 20 years with my past vets.

I'm extremely picky when it comes to both of dachshunds and their care. This vet, as well as the entire staff(receptionists, vet techs and everyone on the staff) are so so gentle with my 12 yr old sr ween. Reassuring not just my ween but took the time to come outside where I was to give me an update from when he had his appointment
10 outta 10 would recommend and will be back there this
month for my other ween

Our Chesapeake Bay retriever needed emergency help at the end of his life but our usual vet was too busy to fit him in so we went from Tacoma to Gig Harbor Vet Hospital which gladly accepted him. All of the staff, vets and receptionists couldn't have been more helpful, compassionate, and respectful, even though this was the first time they had ever met our dog. They made his end of life care a sensitive, gentle experience for him and for us which was much appreciated as we all were upset. They gave our beloved dog and us all the time and space we needed to say goodbye and even followed up with us afterward. This is the kind of care everyone hopes for for their pet and themselves but doesn't always find. Highly recommended.
