The people at Chase have been wonderful but the institution went from excellent to poor in the last few months. Recently they instituted a 'call center' if you call your local branch. A long phone tree & nearly impossible to talk to your bank. While on hold (long hold time) the recording boasted their strong commitment to excellent customer service but in fact it is poor and I'm a Private Banking customer at Chase. Another gaff: two months ago I was presented with a 350 page 'Agreement' to sign that was totally one-sided against my interests. I didn't. What kind of business would do that to a good, established customer? 350 pages! Can't even call my bank branch, etc. i complained but no response. They get a one-star. Unfair business tactics (350 page Agreement) and poor service (can't call my branch easily).

Truly awful! I am so disgusted by this bank. They took a $500 check my grandma gave me because they said it could be fraud even though I have cashed checks from her many times before. They even called her multiple times and verified her identity. However, every time they don’t actually solve the issue, they just keep giving me a number to people overseas. I have called and waited on hold multiple times for hours only to have the call drop! All the employees here are extremely unhelpful and completely incompetent at their job. I have been trying to get my $500 back for 8 MONTHS now and have met with Tammy (who I was told to go to by the front desk and I just found out that she’s just a banker, not even a manager! I have never been allowed to speak to anyone else) 3 times only for her to blankly stare at me and tell me that the only thing that they can do is call that number overseas. Now, I have just found out that Chase actually cashed my check back in November, which prompted me to, once again, go to Chase to talk to them. When I arrived, they told me that maybe they could fit me in tomorrow but that they would just do the same thing and call overseas again. I am so fed up with this bank! If you value your money, do not bank here!! Who knew that my own bank would be the one to steal from me?! It’s quite ironic.

Everytime I come here for the drive through, it takes AT LEAST 20-25 minutes as I usually have to wait about 10 minutes before someone comes on the screen to help me and then another 10 or so minutes to send back my stuff and complete what I needed to get done. It’s definitely not convenient to do the drive through however I can’t always park and walk into the lobby due to having my kids with me and pulling them out of the car just to get a simple, or what should be simple task done.

Chase let someone withdraw $3000 from my account in another town. The scum at this branch admitted that Chase handed my money off to someone else, then refused to correct the issue. This is wild, need to contact law enforcement because this company just stole from me.

I recently went to the Chase Bank (5225 Borgen Blvd, Gig Harbor) to cash a $60 check. And since I am not a member of Chase the teller informed that since the check was more than $50 it would a $8 service fee. So, I'm wondering what the difference is in their process of handing me the $10 extra. Technically it means she would have handed me three bills, (2 - $20 bills and 1 $10 bill versus 3 - $20 bills). I don't get it. Does the check have to go to different places to be shredded? The problem here is, the person who wrote me the check is a member of Chase and are probable paying for their checking account. What a rip off!!!

We are very unhappy with this bank. We had an appraisal done on our home, and the loan manager will not release the appraisal to us under any circumstances. We lost $500.
