Go for the photo opp and the heavenly scent and stay for the snacks. The farm came highly suggested on a few travel blogs and I can't resist a stunning photo opp. The farm is really easy to find and is listed on Apple Maps. The moment you get out of the car your nose is tickled with the delicate and subtle lavender scent floating through the air. It's pure heaven. You can either pick your own or cruise around the farm. We loved seeing all the happy, fuzzy, fat bees pollinating and living their best bee lives. Not to worry bumble bees don't sting and left us alone completely. After getting some instagram-able photos we popped into the shop. If the budget had allowed I would have purchased one of everything. We ended up with dog treats and linen spray. The candles and the berry compote are next on my list. The back patio is not to be missed. They have stunning lavender plants in many sizes for purchase as well as fresh made snacks. We tried the lemon lavender sorbet and the lavender lemonade. Both were amazing and not overwhelmingly floral. It was a warm day and these were refreshing ....... And devoured. Basically don't miss this little gem on your next trip to San Juan Island

My daughter and I visit this shop every time we go to Friday Harbor. We love lavender. The shop has samples. We really enjoyed the lavender honey and the lavender ice cream. They have brochures that explain everything from where the lavender comes from, which type it is and more. My son bought me lavender soap for my dresser and a lavender linen spray that I sprayed on my neck pillow or regular pillow to help me with sleep. It works wonders and the soap, still leaves my clothes smelling like lavender. They have lotion, oil, ice cream, seeds, sprigs, travel packs, candles and much more. The woman behind the counter was pleased to get my daughter and i samples of ice cream, the honey is self serve. She was very, very knowledgeable about the type of lavender it is and where it comes from. She was very, very nice as well. If you visited the Pelindaba Lavender Farm, you must visit this shop. If you’ve visited the shop but not The Pelindaba Lavender Farm, it’s a must see. There’s no charge to visit. They do have a small shop there too.

I visited here several years ago, and I would say it was the highlight of my trip to San Juan Island. It was such a wonderful place to visit - a delight for all the senses. You really must sample the lavender treats! The ice cream was surprising and delicious, as were the lemonade and shortbread cookies. Double check the blooming season schedule, and watch out for our friends, the bees! While you're visiting here, make your way around the island. So many fun and interesting discoveries! If you're visiting the Seattle area, the island and this wonderful place are worth the day (or overnight or weekend) trip via the ferry! You'll enjoy the visit and create some great memories -- and get some great souvenirs for dear ones (and yourself!).

I am so glad to have had the opportunity to the visit the farm on San Juan Islands during spring break. Not only is the farm visually stunning, it's product offerings are superlative. I walked out with lovely gifts and enjoyed the lavender ice cream - which was delicate and creamy. Staff is welcoming and engaging - they will happily answer questions.

Overpriced. They closed down and moved the day after I bought from here. Tried to return some things a couple days after I bought from this place and found out they had already closed. Also, the only cashier there at the time of original purchase was rude. Maybe she already knew they were closing soon so she didn't care. I didn't catch her name but she had the misaligned weave. If you want to buy from this company search Amazon. Brick and mortar stores are overpriced and have to deal with bad customer service. This was at Town East mall in Mesquite, TX.

Terrible service, no lavender! Went yesterday with the wife and we were super disappointed to find that there was absolutely no lavender in bloom even though the website says april-october. When we got there and inquired, they said that actually the lavender only blooms for 6 weeks out of the entire year over the summer. So, not able to take any pictures or clip any lavender for ourselves, we headed into the store. The store itself has many nice products but the lady working there was so awful it made the whole visit into the worst part of our trip to the island. She rudely asked us multiple times if we had opened product instead of using the testers, she yelled at some kids for taking an ice cream out of the freezer that they were going to buy, and then overcharged us for products we didn't want. Luckily, we caught the scam before we left the farm and promptly went inside to ask for a refund. Lavender is supposed to calm you down, so not sure why the woman working there was so high-strung and unpleasant. P.s. she also had the nerve to charge us 8 cents for the bag after she had put all of our items (totalling over 100 bucks) in it and packed it up for us.

We visited both the lavender farm and the gift shop on First Street. The farm is a must-see while on SJI, and the gift shop has many lovely gift selections.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Cut your own bouquet for less than $10. We ended up cutting some for each variety available. Never knew there was so many varieties of lavendar! The store was awesome. They even have a TSA compliant section. We will be back!

I love lavender. I love lavender farms. Pelindaba is a must stop each time I visit San Juan Island. I always pick up a fresh supply of their salt/pepper/lavender mixes along with a few tins of lavender teas. They have a retail shop in Friday Harbor, but a visit to the farm is much more enjoyable.
