We love this place. Great staff, many classes, beautiful pool, sauna and steam room and hot tub!

The machines are a little old/wobbly and need to be replaced. The cost of membership is very high. Not many other options, though, in this or any other part of South Whidbey.

The pool is dirty and the management is very bad. They allow old white men to bully women in this facility, and management does nothing but blame the victims.

old worn equipment in the machine area. very limited hours for those that work for a living. Very very high membership fees. You would think they would put more money into the equipment. But then again they do have a monopoly.

Great classes, machines and services! No Fashion Divas or Beef Cakes looking for attention. Just real people.

Always warm and friendly. A wonderful community of kind and caring members and staff. Tony is an excellent fitness trainer. I am very grateful to have this club.

I joined a few weeks back and have really enjoyed going to island athletic club. The staff is really friendly. I’ve seen trainers go out of their way to help members with equipment. The gym is kept tidy and is well-maintained. They have more affordable options called “Flex Time” and the price is reasonable for couples. The personal training options were surprisingly affordable as well. The pool isn’t huge but there are 2 jacuzzis, as well as steam rooms and saunas. It feels kind of like a ymca - inclusive, not pushy at all, with all the amenities most would expect from a gym.

I was referred here for my daughter to take swim lessons. I looked at their website and inquired about infant swim lessons. I signed her up for a private lesson for a 3 week course. I even called to make sure they do lessons with her age because no where on their website does it say age restrictions or what age they teach. whoever I spoke to ensured me her age was fine and they teach them all the time. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we head out for her first lesson. I had never been there so didn’t know the process or where to go other than to check in. We finally get back to the pool and the instructor looked confused. I was told he specifically didn’t teach infants that young of age usually and that there was a different class for parents and kids. This class didn’t work for our scheduled and In the end they helped us and refunded us for the next lessons but my husband and I were pretty bummed about the whole experience. The whole reason I originally called to ask when I signed her up was to avoid this. My husband works in town and left early to be there as well. Just a bummer thing and I think they should update their website and make it clear to others that are wanting to sign up.

We were told that we could use a guest pass, but when we got there, we were denied and had to pay for a day pass. Poor customer service.

Pros: most of the staff are absolutely lovely, the place is always clean, there is a good variety of equipment and it's usually quiet. The pool is great, with a glass roof and is warmed and the water depth is goodno too deep. The hot pool outside is a real treat. In general, we really do like coming here.Cons: the family pool times in terms of the schedule are TERRIBLE. It's as if the people doing the scheduling have never had kids or understand family timings. Also, only half the pool is blocked off for families so it gets way too busy on the weekends, especially if there are lessons going on too. You get a small section of the pool that is not great for young kids who are not confident swimmers yet.Sadly, there have been occasions where one singular staff member has been repeatedly rude towards my husband. We have no idea why it's continued but it has started to irk us and we can safely say it all started the day my husband tried to use the family room WITH our kids, but was told he couldn't, but a mom could??? Very odd. But it was only one member of staff. The rest have been awesome.

Small Town health club. Not bad but not quite worth the 17 dollars for the day pass.
