On a whim, after not having my hair cut for months, as I drive all the way from Tacoma to Poulsbo to have my hair done, I called Foxfire Fircrest to get an appt with Sarah. Thankfully she was able to squeeze me in because I got the best haircut EVER! I have long hair that was super overgrown and wanted a funky, shaggy, choppy cut that kept he length. Its THE BEST haircut. Im in love, Sarah you rock! Thank you

I have seen Sara for the last couple of years at the Fircrest location and every cut is my favorite and they grow out so nicely. Also, she's just good , down to earth company. I have been loving a blunt bob with some layers and every time the line is perfect. She pays attention to detail and is great at balancing my crazy thick hair. She gave me some curtain bangs today and just made me feel like a 10! If you have thick, straight hair and like to mess around with different shorter lengths I can't recommend her enough.

I love this place. Been looking for a new stylist for awhile and Sara did a fantastic job! I wanted a change and she understood what I wanted and I couldn't have been happier. She did an excellent job on the color and the cut.

I've been going to this salon (both locations , but this regards Fircrest) on and off for years. After my favorite stylist left, I tried a few stylists here, and then found someplace else. I made the mistake of recommending that my dad go here. He had his hair cut by Sara several times. The last time he went, he made the evident mistake of booking the express cut. Apparently, this upset Sara, who told my 70 year old father who had literally just washed his hair, "I don't like to use my tools on dirty hair, are you trying to save some money?" My father booked a service that this salon offers, and was shamed and insulted by Sara. I've sent people here for years. Never again. I hope I manage to spread this story everywhere. I sincerely doubt this will affect Sara, as her mother apparently owns the salon.

I just want to start this review out by saying I have been to both Foxfire locations for a haircut in the past. I have had my hair cut twice by two different stylists and had a great experience but it’s been quite awhile since I’ve been back. I needed a last minute haircut and scheduled with someone different last week. I trusted that because of my good experiences in the past that I would have nothing to worry about but unfortunately that was not the case. My stylist Shauna ended up being over 15 minutes late which she apologized. When I had booked the appointment online it said her haircuts were $85. After my haircut was finished, I went to pay and was told it would be $115. I couldn’t believe it. A $30 increase? My haircut took one hour and 6 minutes exactly from the time she took me back to when I was finished and she did not style my hair at the end. I had about four inches of hair cut off which is a standard cut across the board.I asked the front desk why I was getting charged so much more and they said the stylist added the extra charges because my haircut took an hour and a half therefore was considered a “double haircut”. I have difficulty understanding why I was charged this when it was completely false. This also makes me question that since the stylist was late she included that time into my haircut to consider it an “hour and a half”. Either way the stylist never mention before or after my service of the up charge. The front desk said they couldn’t do anything about it so I just paid and went home.When I got home and took a better look at my hair I was so upset with how choppy it looked. The layers and the shape is totally uneven. For $115 I would expect the best haircut I’ve ever had in my life. I feel very taken advantage of and am super disappointed this happened. When I have come in the past, I was never charged extra and previous stylists would curl my hair. I’m so sad to say I really trusted this salon but now I will not be coming back. If you are gonna charge someone more than the normal price then that is DEFINITELY something that should be discussed before moving forward with the service. Do not go off of the salons online pricing because the stylists can easily manipulate the costs and charge you a completely different price listed.Service: Haircut

I’ve been coming to this Salon since May 2023 and the experience was great. Each time I’ve been really happy with the results. However my stylist no longer works and so I tried someone new. The experience was horrible from beginning to end. I have a lot of thick textured hair and she skipped combing my hair out and decided to use a big brush that pulled my hair. She burnt my scalp several times and kept snagging my hair with the flat iron. I also paid for a cut and she didn’t even trim my whole hair, only the bottom. My hair wasn’t straight at all and the customer service was so poor.

Up until just recently, I was a regular at the Fircrest location. I had been going with them since 2018. The stylists I had were amazing people and extremely talented at what they did. I was supposed to have a hair appointment I scheduled over a month ago last weekend and normally they text/email asking confirmation that you were still coming to your appointment. Realizing the morning of my appointment that I never received notice, I called Foxfire and asked if they had my correct contact info on file and if my appointment was still good to go. They said they were sorry and that they left a message (which they definantly didn't as I had no voicemail, text, or email from them,) that my stylist no longer works there and my appointment was cancelled. What's frustrating is that this is the second time this has happened at this location. The first time I went all the way to the salon for the day I booked the confirmed appointment before they told me the artist I had no longer works there and my appointment was cancelled. The artists there are great at what they do, but the company needs to change how they handle scheduling/cancellations if they want to retain clients, because it makes me feel like they don't care about their clients when there's an artist turnover.Services: Shampoo & conditioning

If "zero" stars were available that is what I would give them! I made a 2 pm appointment to have my eyebrows done today, 9/6/2023. I was 5 minutes early and was told it will be just a couple of minutes. At 2:15 I asked the young man at the counter if I was going to have to wait any longer for my appointment. A woman walked out and said she was late for her appointment and that is why I had to wait. I looked at the young man and said I was leaving and it was not fair to keep me waiting because this woman was not considerate enough to call and reschedule her appointment. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend them.

Dangerously fabulous! The only place I'll have my hair done. Would recommend the Aveda experince to anyone! The atmosphere is heavenly (sweet smells and smiling faces) and the staff is top-notch. Have had everything from haircuts to pedicures to deep-tissue massage here and cannot recommend them enough. Easy to make appointments online through their website. Ask for Maia!
