“I can't believe I just found out about this place, and I am SO happy! It's a hidden treasure and has a huge array of books to gifts to choose from. I will order any Christian books from them from now on if not in stock. Very nice helpful staff, you'll be happy I told you about them! lol”

2714 6th Ave, Tacoma“Excellent store with a huge variety, something for everyone. Found a great copy of Slint's Spiderland for just $6 on cd, definitely will come back next time I'm in town”
“King’s books is and will always be my favorite Tacoma bookstore. The owner is so nice, I miss seeing them and getting a friendly greeting every time I walked into the store. I love the community building that Kings books does, with readings, and book groups. I have always loved getting recommendations from the staff. The last few times I have been in the store, I haven’t received the same warm Tacoma welcome I have received since childhood. I miss the feeling of walking in and feeling instantly welcome. I miss the genuine Tacoma friendly-ness I used to receive here. I know Tacoma has changed, but I miss my friendly bookstore staff who said hello, left me alone to browse, but were always ready with recommendations if I needed any.”
“I found it to be clean and and easy to navigate. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Parking was not difficult. Decent views of downtown and the surrounding area.”
“Super big. Super nice!!! Love the selection, though some books bothered me due to their outdated and bad topics, but that definitely isnt their fault. Amazing organizing!”

Mall, 5711 Main St SW, Lakewood“Absolutely love that there is a book store so close to where I live. I'm from West Virginia and I had to leave all my books behind. Glad I can come and find a new book or Manga to enjoy.”

324 E 26th St, Tacoma“Pros: So many books!Cons: Too many books. They need a bigger space. Piles of books were all over the floor, and it was stressful to try to look through and navigate around.Absolutely not accessible for wheelchairs/walkers.They don't have a way to check inventory, but they did have a helpful and straightforward staff member who was knowledgeable about how their stock changes.”
“This place has a llama the classics and so much more. I've had an injury so I'm doing a lot of reading and they have come through on so many titles. Prices are very fair and the books are in great shape. We are lucky to have this in gig harbor. Now if only a good restaurant or two.”
“I was surprised to actually see a African American section for books in this part of town, I was even more surprised at the level of customer service I received. I'm African American with braids an dress in urban fashion and I'm usually followed when dressed this way in wealthier retail areas, but this store is the complete opposite. Has that small town hospitality vibe every time I enter an I appreciate the patience shown to me an my hyper 7 an 8 year running thru the store . Thank you an merry Christmas”
“This is great, has what I was looking for a Condor chest rig. I had been down the start at the 92 Yankee and he didn't have what I wanted, so he suggested I try Foxhole, both stores are awesome!!!!”
“I stopped in to look for a gift and was amazed by the selection of items they had. The ladies behind the counter were full of stories as well as very helpful. If you have children, it could be a challenge getting them to leave. I wish more of these stores still existed.”
