First the customer service person I spoke could not understand me. He did not understand English. And I rent a 250 gallon tank. I requested it to be filled. It was only filled to 75%. If that is the cause my rent for the tank should be a lot less since you will not fill it up. You are the only company I know where a fill up means only 75%. Not happy!!

Our tank is at our weekend cottage in Pt Roberts WA. We never see or talk to the delivery person. Even so, we can depend upon the delivery of propane when we are not present. It is very comforting (pun intended).

Terrible customer service. Have missed deliveries multiple times and it is extremely difficult to get in contact with anyone to fix any issues.

Propane is very expensive and is not a good source of fuel.

The service people are great. Propane costs are becoming prohibitively expensive.

UPDATED: Do yourself a solid and do not contract with Amerigas! I am a local real estate broker and I have dealt with many local propane companies, none of whom have ever missed the mark like Amerigas. Amerigas is overpriced and have terrible service. I can confirm the other reviews that they do in fact charge double per gallon. They claim this is based on “the markets” — hopefully the markets will put them out of business if they’re going to continue with their current business practices! They treat their customers as captives of their propane contract, and charge double what the local companies charge. When Amerigas was charging us $4.40/gal, NW Propane was $2.20/gal. Some would say that is criminal, especially since most folks around here use propane for heating during the winter.Use a local company such as Northwest Propane, who will surpass your expectations—rather than leave you truly disappointed, frustrated, and drained of your hard-earned money. We switched companies, and while I will admit it wasn’t the easy button, it was worth it and YOU CAN CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT WITH AMERIGAS IN WRITING — don’t let them hold you captive to price gouging. The photo is of their tank which they have refused to pickup for over 12 weeks, after we terminated service with them….***I have had numerous phone calls and exchanged numerous emails with the company in an attempt to:A) negotiate a fair priceB) terminate serviceC) schedule the pickup of their tankAll attempts have failed. I have terminated service—which they refuse to acknowledge in writing—and I have scheduled the tank pickup, which they have not done. Its now been over 13 weeks, with the old tank sitting next to the road.

DO NOT USE AMERIGAS!!!The absolute worst customer service experience in my life and I was in the military. I submitted a new customer request on 12/6/21 and was called later that afternoon. I was told to expect a call within 2 days for a site survey. I waited a week and called back only to learn they lost my electronic application, so they resubmitted it and told me to wait no more than 2 days for a call. I waited 3 days and called back only to learn they failed to put my application on the service que. So, I wait thru the holidays and call back. After speaking with 5 different people, I finally get in touch with someone who acts like they are going to help. I’m told an official complaint has been filed and that management is tracking my case. I even exchange emails with this person who tells me to contact her if I do not receive a call in 2 days. 2 days go by and no call. I’ve emailed 3 times now and called multiple times. The last person I spoke to was so unprepared to handle my situation that she scheduled a delivery for 115 gallons of propane. I DO NOT HAVE A TANK YET! I didn’t give them payment information so I’m looking forward to the truck showing up and just dumping it on the ground cause at this rate that’s what will happen. It’s also important to note that while dealing with these people all the other propane suppliers in my area have sold out of tanks so I am going to move into my new home and not be able to cook thanks to Amerigas.
