One of our storage units got burglarized recently. All of our high end things got stolen and some precious memorabilia. Other units appear to have been burglarized also. There are absolutely no cameras on the row of units... just the entrance and exit, so the Ferndale police have no video of the thieves burglarizing our unit. Ferndale police said their surveillance system at this facility is grossly inadequate. Anyone who rents a unit there should be alerted to the fact that their belongings are not secure whatsoever. The police also said that thieves appear to pass along gate codes to other thieves to gain access at the gate to get in. I give this place at least a 2 star because the manager there, Robert, has been amazing, but Corporate (Urban Self Storage) needs to upgrade their surveillance system there. We have been renting there for years, but we need to take our business elsewhere if our 3 storage units are sitting ducks to thieves who have a clear path to stealing our things out of sight of any cameras.
