Went above and beyond to do absolutely nothing. I rented with Hertz before in Auburn,WA , had a really great experience (Paul) and the staff were great at helping me out. Unlike the “manager” and lady who left just as issues began.I booked my reservation online without any issues as a Gold Member 2 hours ahead of time ($181.00 due at pickup) I needed to pickup my daughter from school. I take a Lyft from work to Hertz ($18.99 -10 min drive). The manager as he said he was unable to let me rent the car because everything had to be “paid for” with my credit card up front using only 1 credit card. I expected the $200 deposit had $300, was planning to pay the due amount at time of pickup with my debit card. This was not possible because the Computer was actually the manager, this older man was there to just click and say sorry there is nothing he can do.$81.00 could not be paid with cash or my debit card even though $300 was available for the deposit the computer could not allow such a thing to happen. $381.00 had to be put on 1 credit card. Which is not mentioned anywhere stating you cannot use a credit card for the deposit then pay what’s due with another form of payment.So as $181.00 is being processed I’m denied an available car because I’m” $81.00 “short on my credit card and My daughter gets out of school in 20 min. $300 available deposit to cover the car plus $181.00 to pay what’s due in cash or debit. “Sorry there is nothing I can do, the computer will not let me”. The manager says, so in urgency I book another Lyft ($27.99 -17min)to go get my daughter, arriving late. Then booking another Lyft ($19.73-14min) home, ($47.72 plus tips) it cost me not to mention being that late parent, all because the Hertz computer systems said no. Even customer service was useless but that’s another tale.So let this sink in, why are there even any humans at the Hertz rental facility when it’s the computer that’s in charge? Why can’t you use a credit card for a deposit and then pay what is due with cash, debit or a prepaid card?If you’re only capable of clicking a mouse, reading what is on a screen and saying, “sorry there’s nothing I can do l”. Then you serve no purpose and definitely should not be in a management position.Response: Oh yes I had such a great experience, that is why I wrote this small review explaining all the fun I had not renting a car. Also the joy had in spending over $50 to call a Lyft to get my daughter and go home. Not to mention being the late parent picking up a student. The disappointment your child has when they are waiting alone. Thanks for that Hertz owner. It’s even better that nobody cared to make it right. Still without a car and waiting for Hertz to cancel the reservation

I rent 3 cars in this store. It is terrible. All cars have big smell. They knew it but they did not tell you. They take advantage of customs because they do not know the rules.

You would know why their review is 2.8 when you visited. Terrible customer service. Why insurance company suggests this terrible hertz. Just go to Enterprise!

They were super rude.They charged me $400 for the cleaning fee. My lawyer said “Take a picture in the car” But they moved that rental car. Lol.DO NOT RENT HERE.

Extremely rude front office help. My daughter reserved a car at this location on pacific highway. This was her first experience so she was confused about some of the details. The woman behind the counter (heavy set woman with dark curly hair IDK her name) was extremely condescending when answering questions and when my daughter pushed back on her, she immediately refused her service. When I questioned how she was treating an African American woman she said “Oh yeah, pull the race card” further proving her discrimination. Never never use this location.

I don’t understand how a company will direct you to use their website or app for everything, accept your reservation, see in their system that you have a reservation and what time you’re coming to pick it up, and proceed to not call, text, email or cancel that reservation when they know they have no cars. They just look at the reservation in their system and hope you don’t show up. Pretty interesting way of doing businessMy response to your response:A refund for the money I spent to Uber from the airport to your location and back to the airport would also be appreciated. Airlines made overselling part of their business model and compensate customers when there are no seats available.

They are the worst. Wasted my time. Their phone line says they are open until 5:30 pm, but they close at 5 pm. I wanted to return my rental before the weekend & asked for the manager or one employee to stay a bit late. They agreed, but nobody was there when I arrived.

8/22 @ 10:25 am. Asked for a rental. The lady said. No rentals. I asked about what the airport Hertz? The lady said I don't know, I don't work there. No costumer service or help. Federal Way Hertz

The Manager Jess and the district manager Chantel and Amanda went above and beyond to help me get the car I needed. I'm extremely happy with my rental they went out of their way to find the car they found one in Puyallup and Anthony the manager there helped me greatly with letting me know about some insurance discrepancy that was going on which saved me a lot of money thankyou guys for doing this.
