Started going on my own plan off of my parents this year, it started out great but when I tried getting in contact with Gordon (my agent), I never got an email or a call back. Every time I tried to call I was never able to talk to him directly. Not once was I ever able to talk to my agent, I tried everything.Then I asked to be requoted since I was paying almost $300 just for myself. When I asked they said there is nothing else they can do for me and just to tell them when I get new insurance somewhere else so they can cancel my plan. Horrible customer service. I would not recommend State Farm or using Gordon Dewaard.

This review is for State Farm Insurance Co in general. Contrary to their commercials, you cannot call 24/7. I tried to cancel my recently deceased father's auto insurance at 6 pm PDT. I was told in this situation I had to call the local agent during business hours So I guess if they want your money, no problem, but, if you want to stop paying, you are SOL until the next business day. I am so glad I have been with USAA since 1972. They are available for all services 24/7. I wish there was rating less than 1star.

I have been with State Farm Insurance Company, Agent Gordon Dewaard in Federal Way WA, for over 35 years. I am very pleased with the exemplary services provided, especially by one employee, Nancy Larson. I highly recommend State Farm.

We had Gordon DeWaard as our agent for several years!! Even when we asked for him to call us he never did, he always had Lyubov take care of us. Lyubov was amazing by the way and personally took care of us for over 10 years. We had over 7 policies with Gordon, you would have thought that maybe just once he'd give us the time of day but no he never did. Even the day I called to cancel and I explained that we wanted a little interaction with our agent, they just said sorry he's just to busy. We do not recommend Gordon DeWaard as an insurance agent.
