A most excellent and intimate venue for live theater! TWO itinerant actors and dancers performed a one act show called O Christmas Tea that included audience participation. So much fun besides entertaining.

I didn't even know that Federal Way had a performing arts center but I was pleasantly surprised that it did. I almost always go to Seattle for concerts and any type of events really and the fact that I live in Tacoma and Federal Way is considerably closer I didn't hesitate to go to the event held here. I saw Henry Rollins, yes the singer who was in Black Flag and the Rollins Band who has taken to the stage in spoken word form rather than music. The show was awesome as we all learned of Henry's childhood and youth and other bands that he played with along with making music. His presentation was touching, honest, thought provoking and funny. Very satisfying! The parking was surprisingly not as difficult to get in and out from the center as I thought. Leaving is always harder than coming in going off of other concert experiences from this year but this was not nearly as long or as tedious as venues I have gone to this year. The organization inside the building was efficient and confident with getting the audience where they needed to go and nothing about that was overwhelming as this is a smaller venue which also helps with crowd direction. Good experience coming here and would love to return for more events!

This venue is wonderful. I waited many years to see Robert Cray and I am glad I did. The seats are comfortable and made for real sized people. The sound was so great. I highly recommend seeing a show here.

What a great venue for a play! Looking forward to taking in a concert in the near future here as well. I'm grateful for the invitation from a neighbor to get to know more of Tacoma and the diverse events at the PAEC. Not a bad seat throughout the center, staff was great, giving directions and serving food and drinks. The center was immaculately clean. Easy parking. Beautiful building design and landscape. The event was a play called Pipeline with the actors from Acts on Stage theatre Company from Seattle. The play hit on a lot of issues, divorce, teacher/student relationships, relationships between parents, students, teachers, staff-and race. The effects of stress and many social issues. The actors, director, and writing were great!! The director and actors did a fantastic questions session right after the finish of the play. Lots of interaction between the actors and audience. One topic that came up was the interaction between school staff, administration, students, and parents, since some of the actors were retired teachers and many of the audience were parents, one of many concerns was the lack of accountability from parents for their children and placing the blame on teachers, while teachers hands are tied and parents look to teachers to be their children's everything while being overworked and understaffed, one of the major burnout issues for teachers leaving the profession. Definitely a play that has you think hard on many of today's issues. If you get the opportunity to watch the Acts on Stage Theatre Company in Seattle or surrounding area, take it!! You'll come out thinking and changed. Happy Yelping and God bless.

Saw Evil Woman the American ELO show. They were okay to good: to many sound system failures and a fidgeting lead singer who didn't seem to be in the spirit and who constantly fidgetted with his ear pieces--taking them off and putting them on again, and again--which was very distracting. The looks of the venue and seating were nice. Restrooms were clean.
