The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were great! Especially the woman working the restaurant (It said Kris on the receipt) she was so friendly and kept checking in. The food was delicious! My one comment is the parking and location. I heard that there are multiple times people’s cars have been broken into in the lot. Not the hotel’s fault but something to be aware of.

Location and parking is good with decent food options outside. But there is no good breakfast and no drinking water . My other colleagues in Hampton inn adjacent gave much better experience feedback for them compared to Courtyard.

Clean with friendly staff. I would give it 5 stars EXCEPT the alarm clocks are WAY too easy to accidentally turn on, and cannot easily be unplugged. We stayed there to go to a concert nearby, so were awake very late. No problem... until the alarm went off at 6am and we couldn't get it to turn off... couldn't unplug it... couldn't go back to sleep. I know it seems tiny, but it ruined our sleep which is never fun.

Homeless and thieves heaven location for vandalizing cars in the parking lot. 5 cars windows broken on September 5, 2024. No security in the area and found 6 holes in the fence around the hotel for homeless or thieves to steal what ever they want in the parking lot. Homeless camp in both corners of this location leading to the freeway. Not a place for anyone to leave their car.
Safety: Not a safe place to leave your car. 5 vehicles broken into the night we stayed. And speaking the hotel engineer it happens every night.

This Courtyard location is very convenient. It is right off the highway. There are plenty of shopping and dining options within walking distance. The lobby is very welcoming with a nice bistro. The employees are all very friendly. The room was very clean as well as the fitness center. The fitness center had cardio and strength building options. The area around the hotel felt very safe.

If you need a hotel in Federal Way stay here, if you don’t care about location staying further away definitely do it. There are far better Marriotts in other cities nearby. The hotel is right off the interstate which has its benefits but the area is sketchy especially the parking lot with no security. The staff were excellent and the main lobby is modern/updated. The rooms on the other hand, clean but need to be renovated with the bathroom being the main priority.
Rooms: I’m sure the bathroom was clean but it was so old it felt gross.
Safety: Don’t leave anything in your car.
Food and drinks: Excellent food options in the area.

Rooms were nice, employees / staff were nice as well. The reason for the 3 star review is the hot tub, pool & breakfast. We have 2 kids, and specifically looked for a hotel with a hot tub & pool. The hot tub was lukewarm, the jets didn’t work and the water was dirty. The pool looked “ok” but was pretty cold. There is no free breakfast as well, just pretty expensive order options. $64.00 for JUST French toast for 4 people. For $224 a night, I would expect a little better.

It's just OK. If your hotel is off a highway off ramp, in a strip mall FULL of parking, I view it as a cash grab to charge for parking. If you are thinking the money is for parking lot security read the other reviews, if you leave anything in your car a window will be broken and it will be gone, no security or cameras. My room was clean but BOTH sinks had issues with the stopper and could only be operated by reaching under the sink to the lower lever. I would stay here again as it is better than staying by the airport where the price is higher and there are no food options nearby.
