This is the 2nd year my daughter attending this school. She loves it, and enjoys it. This year I'm satisfied with her teachers. Of course I would prefer her last year ballet teacher more( the one that was teaching the 2nd half of the year, Ms Trina I guess. She is the best ballet teacher, a true balerina. The first two that started the year were very disappointing).Could be a bit more clean, cleanliness should be a priority since there are so many kids. Unfortunately that's not the case..Also it's a little bit pricey for a low income family. But, overall I'm glad that my child is enjoying it and looking forward to attend each class.

The teachers are such amazing people and do such a wonderful job with the kids. Both my girls have been coming here for years and I couldn't be happier with how they are doing.

My daughter started at the Auburn location of CDT when she was 3, and we love the body-positive, age-appropriate focus of the studio. She has lost interest in dance and gone away for other activities twice now, but she keeps coming back and has never been interested in trying another studio (she now takes classes at this location in FW). We just had the opportunity to participate in another fantastic Nutcracker performance, and my daughter had such a wonderful experience.

My sister and I use to live together and we both have daughters that wanted to attend ballet. I work a lot and have a busy schedule so my sister signed both of the girls up under her name. Throughout the year we both alternated driving the girls to/from class depending on our availability. Fast forward to May 7th, 2022 when ticket sales for the recital opened up and I was not able to purchase tickets to my own daughters recital because tickets were capped at four per family. Since my sister signed both girls up under her name they were treated as sisters from the same family. My sister tried talking to the director about this and from the email responses I read I don’t think they were quite understanding that there are actually two separate families involved. My kids have half siblings, a dad, separate grandparents, etc… they were not being understanding and said there’s nothing that can be done. They said it wouldn’t be fair to other families if they gave us extra tickets. THESE ARE NOT EXTRA TICKETS! There are two families involved! During the next ballet class I spoke with the receptionist about what was going on and she seemed to get it so she called the director to see what could be done. As soon as the director figured out I was inquiring about the same issue that my sister had raised the receptionist said, “ok” and quickly hung up the phone. She apologized and said there’s nothing they can do. I asked who I can talk to about it then because I really don’t think they understand that this is two separate families and I can’t even buy tickets to my own daughters recital. She gave me the owners email so I emailed her. I got a response and the solution was to either pay $180 to separate mine and my sisters accounts and pay the amount we’d saved or to wait until tickets went on sale to the general public. She advised to wait because the school year was almost over it might not be worth it to pay $180. I expressed my hesitancy with waiting because I wanted to sit with the rest of my family and I was afraid that the seats would be taken. She said that there were plenty of seats still open so I waited. Sure enough, when I went to buy tickets, the seats I wanted were taken so now my family and I will be split up and they’re driving four hours to come to the recital. I emailed the owner again and I can see that there’s a no refund policy on tickets so I asked if I could just switch two of the seats that my sister bought so that I could sit with my family coming from out of town. I waited over a week and have not received a response. I am irritated at the way this whole situation was handled. If I would have known I wouldn’t be able to purchase tickets to my own daughters recital I would have separated the accounts a long time ago. I’m irritated at the emails my sister received and the lack of understanding from the director. I will not be re-enrolling my daughter at this dance school.

I just came back from their Encore class for my toddler and I am fumed in anger. TO make it clear, my child is 3. She is not 13. She is not 11. Today was her trial case. I was a bit nervous as she has never done anything like this. However, I trusted that the teachers would know how to communicate and lead a toddler. After all that's why this is a toddler class. Because it was her first experience in open space like that, my kid was a bit energetic, wanted to explore the space. Like three years old. In response, teacher publicly shames my kid, finger pointing at her, " just because our friend is making a bad decision, doesn't 't mean we all have to" to her classmates. Even before that, the teacher publicly held her and scolded her many times in just 20 minutes we were there. Before class, I told the receptionist and the teacher my kid was bilingual, and may need a simple word to communicate. No such consideration. When my kid wanted to stand next to another child because she was excited to get to know her classmates, teacher responds "we respect our bodies and we keep our body part to our self." Um. The only thing she did was standing next to a tall girl because she wanted to make a friend. Are you serious? I initially wanted to let my kid finish the class. I couldn't stand her treating my kid as if she is a ugly ducky, even encouraging her classmates to label her as a "bad apple." So I told the receptionist to get my daughter. Wow. I will just wait another year and enroll her a proper school, meanwhile look for a private lesson. I own a small business myself. Also, I don't do this to a fellow female business owner lightly. However, I cautiously advise Ms. Stephanie if someone, any adult was publicly shaming a toddler, that's not an education, that's abuse. I am trying to raise a self-confident happy child. When I discipline, I go to a quiet space. I let her explore her feeling, and have her conclude what she wants to do. Her preschool teachers also NEVER publicly shame anyone. When your employee publically humiliated my toddler, I questioned whether to pull her out or have her finish the class then have a long discussion with the teacher. I did not want to risk my daughter's emotional balance being damaged by your employee any further. I do not publicly shame my kid, nor would I tolerate any adults to do so. Even if that person was my husband or my parents. I don't think you want this particular teacher to associate with toddlers. Being angry is an understatement of t how I feel right now. Nothing you did cause me to feel this way and as a small business owner, this may be unfair. Advise me if this individual is no longer EMPLOYED, or anywhere near a toddler. I will revise my review at that point.

I cannot say enough good things about this dance studio. Especially their level of dedication during the pandemic to do literally all they could to get dancers safely back in the studio. As long as my daughter to continues to love dancing, we will be here.

This place has great classes for children and teenagers in dance and theater. They have classes all year around, but I especially like their summer theater camps. My children have been going there for years!
