“What a lovely space! My recent hobbies inspired a trip to Barnes & Noble. What a treat to see Starbucks to the right as I entered. I grabbed a snack and coffee to refresh.Wow wow wow.. so many books. So much knowledge under one roof! I loved it. Also, the employees hand wrote a few of their recommendations and placed them under their selection. I really appreciated that and purchased one.Very helpful customer service.”

“Went to the store to see if they had bookends. They basically did not have any, except for single, expensive ones that were not what I had in mind!Don't quite understand why they don't have what I needed. It's a book store! I need 12 or 14 sets, for my new shelving needs.Stephen C HAYES ?”

“I absolutely loved this shop and could have easily spent a full day here. I wanted to but the hubby and kids overruled me, so... Anyhow, this spot was nice and cozy and they had some true gems. I loved all of the sections that they had, including the little nook with kids books. I'd love one without kids books, but good for the kids. My favorite section is where they had a place for people to put the books they want to sell. I like the equity because I have a hard time selling books in Berkeley, CA. They don't take my books or they take two bags of books and give me $5. Really?!? And I'm a book nerd so I read and I take good care of my books, better care of them than other things. But I hear about how old my books are and how they can't take them. But I peruse the shelves and see books older than me and wonder how that happened. I think that they don't believe that the books belong to me. Actually, one guy yelled at me when I brought in my grad school books to sell and he wanted to know where I got the books and complained that they were old. I was worried they wouldn't return the book to me. I also realized that when selling books I have to dress up and look more professional, no more gym attire, although it hasn't worked. I say all that to say that the equitable, anonymous system they set up to buy books from customers is fantastic! The people here are totally nice and I don't think they'd see a black person come in with a bunch of books and assume that I found them somewhere or that they'd need to justify how they got the book. So that type of equity is important and I found it in Sumer, WA, not Berkeley, CA (I can't say I'm surprised about Berkeley). I would come to Sumner for this alone. It's absolutely worth it.”

“Love going here and checking out books for my students. They always seem to have special deals going on with their coupons that you have to sign up for in advance. They also usually always have a spot where you can fill up a box for $25. I think due to Covid, the Warehouse is closed to the public, but you can order online. I have not done this option yet.”

“Alleluia Bookstore is amazing. I ordered The Great Adventure Bible from them and they shipped it to me immediately! I was shocked to have it delivered to me the very next day after I placed my order. I appreciated their help when I had questions regarding what kind of cover it had (I got the leather one). I wanted a pliable leather and it is. Thank you for your help Alfredo, and for shipping it so quickly!!!”

“Super clean, easy to get to from I-5, and friendly staff. It's a convention center so it's pretty generic in terms of meeting rooms, but very nice for professional meetings.”

“I love their clearance section! The rest of the store is great to shop in as well. My family and I have been patrons of Half Price Books for about 13+ years and always find great items (music CDs, movie DVDs, bookmarks, journals, graphic novels, collectibles and more). If you can't find what you're looking for in-store, you can check online and find what you want at Half Price's website. Their customer service has always been great for any and all questions. If you're looking to sell/get rid of your gently used books, Half Price can provide an offer to buy. (I have yet to use this service myself as of thiss post). With Christmas right around the corner, they also offer gift certificates for your favorite bibliophile. :) Happy shopping!”

“Yay for King's Books, the best bookstore in Tacoma. They've got a very large and smart selection of new and used books, well organized but not OVERLY organized. There's idiosyncratic minds at work deciding which books get shelved in which sections, which means you're likely to find a title you didn't know you were looking for. I find exactly what I came for about 30% of the time, and leave with something excellent close to 100% of the time. Them's good odds! And used book prices are perfectly fair.”

“HUGE collection..store is bigger than you would think, it's like a maze. I didn't give 5 stars because it isn't cataloged or necessarily organized but they have everything you could imagine from car manuals and How-to's to DVDs!”

“Great selection of snacks, travel items and current books. Prices are a bit high, but that's the price you pay for convenience. Self check-out is nice and the employees are efficient and hard working.”
