I wish I had gone to any other hatchery. Bought four chicks and one turned out to be a cockerel even though they are all supposed to be pullets ( I assumed they would have been vented). Brought the cockerel back and had to pay for a replacement. I also bought another one at the same time. They were 8 weeks and I asked the girl if she was sure this is a pullet because the Easter eggers comb was very red. She assured me it was. Fast forward three weeks, it is a cockerel and the other pullet I got from them died from a disease that presented similarly to mareks. I do not trust that they vaccinate based on my experience with. Word of warning go somewhere else.

They are always able to answer questions and help troubleshoot. Their baby chicks and pullets were so healthy and grew into really lovely chickens. They keep a very good stock of everything you need, just ask! The kids always have fun looking around at the animals in the front when we pick up feed. Their feed is worth the drive!

They sold us ducks saying they were Magpie/Indian runner ducks last spring but they were actually mallard ducks, very evil to allow someone to buy a living creature under false claim of the species. Waste of time and money. I drove 2 hours to buy them because this farm seemed trustworthy. They are liars.

Bought several chicks from this place on September 2023 just to find out that 75% of them are roosters.This is despite paying extra to get egg laying hens.I do not recommend this business

I am so happy to have Baxter barn in my backyard! They taught me what I needed to know to become a first time chicken owner and I LOVE my hens and our rooster. They have great quality, good service and excellent products available for reasonable prices, especially considering the lack of hardware stores nearby. Love them!

This place is so cute. Animals everywhere you look. Some are so unique and beautiful. The lady that helped us was wonderful and very helpful.
