My family is on the shallow subsidies program as my husband is a vet. This would be a great program if they could get their act together. As it stands right now, my family is current being evicted because this program is not holding up their end of the deal, and have not paid their half of the rent as promised in 3 months now! Yes, they did pay the move in costs for us, which was a huge help but, what good did that do? We're now worse off then we were before. We don't even have a case manager because the turn over rate is ridiculous. First Ray was our case manager, then he retired, and some new guy took over for him, and now hes gone and everything is up in the air. They really need to get it together. This is not ok.

Yo the last persona comment I am a 45 year old law abiding citizen single mom with a 9 year old and 12 year old daughter, a son who just graduated from a university in another state. I am homeless, I have lung tumors and poor health. These guys stepped up. What you said about them helping criminals and whoever else I can't speak to that. I can speak to who I am, and I am grateful. and I am not what you said.

This is concerning the staff and the office located there for the SSVF Veterans rapid rehousing program for homeless Veterans through the VA, but administered and funded by YWCA. Zach Ham the supervisor, Terry Zambrowski a member of his staff left me hanging out to dry? As combat Veteran of the US Marine Corps I was abandoned and lead on through numous false statements by both of them? The program I can highly recommend only in thereoy if it actually is true and real that it pays all move in cost and 50% of rent for up to 2 years? Unfortunately, the Veteran must have proof of income not only to qualify upfront, but to verify the Veteran earns enough to cover the remaining 50% which I was told conflicting versions by both case managers? When I entered the program for which I was asked and reffered to by a sno county social worker I was told that for me not having tax returns for my business because I am a sole proprietary business have not had any income by my clients because I either have a lack of clients/business or they have not reported any to the irs? There fore when under a set amount a return is notbrequired to be filed as my business has been under that set amount forvthe padt 3 years? But for over a month since that time I was told this would not hinder me from getting into a place all the while I have had to live out of my vehicle till now when I went to thier supervisor Mona T. Confirmed this was not true and I could not qualify with out the tax returns? I then asked about Emergency Hospice used in the case if a veteran cannot find or get in to housing while homeless for up to 60 days hotel vouchers can be used getting me out of my vehicle and in to a hotel?, but then was told again this was not true and only used for when a vet has a housing plan/ rental agreement in place burbthe property is notbready for occupancy for 60 days though not listed as a condition? Final comment- when I first got reffered to the program I was to meet with Zach Ham the next day ? Unfortunately he forgot to mention he was leaving for his honeymoon that day for 14 days with no one to pick up my case no nothing? I was left dangling for 2 wewks living out of my vehicle and until now I an still left with no options, but wasted over a month of my time I could hsve used to find another program? So dont believe a word your told if you use this program or thinking aboutbit?

This organization helped me as a victim of domestic violence. Other organizations made it worse (not acceptable in any way, shape, or form) including New Begin and Helping Hands which did not get back to me despite the pressing nature of the situation. YWCA referred out to a competent organization and was able to represent me until they took the case. The others did nothing at all which is not ok. Thank you YWCA. You deserve your funding.

It says eliminating racism on its mission yet it has racially aggravating signs in the window. Very hypocritical no matter what race

Downsizing my life, I found the Working Wardrobe program at the Everett YWCA, where they accept women's clothing in great condition to help provide a working wardrobe for those who are again entering the workforce. Sometimes it's hard to sort through your own closet, but knowing that what you're donating will make a difference in someone else's life makes it a lot easier to do. They have the clothing set up in a 'retail-like' space under their main office - everything is on hangers, arranged by size, clothing type and color/style, so it's a very appealing environment and I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to 'shop' there.

When I was in need, after a major life unwanted change, I needed professional work clothes. They gave me two full outfits including socks, stockings, purse, matching earrings, and shoes. Wonderful, helpful ladies over there! (And one of the best pezz dispenser collections I've seen - behind the front desk.)
