My story: My husband sent a package from Canada...
To save post cost, the clerk in Canada convinced him to use THEIR packaging. (He had 2 packages already addressed, that fit into their padded plastic envelop)
The problem: The clerk transposed the numbers in the address. (Always Check their work!!!)
The package showed a delivery day, time, and location (porch/front door)
Waited 1.5 weeks to see if it would be delivered past the stated delivery.
At no arrival, i went to the Hoyt location and talked with Manny (post manager). He was kind and knowledgeable. He was able to determine the address on the package was not the same as the intended address. (I hsd a trscking number) He expressed concern that people try to find their packages themselves, rather than letting the postal workers try first.
When I left, my hopes of getting the package was not high.. but a spark of hope remained. He took my number and name...
That same day, late afternoon/early evening, Manny called. They located the package from where it had been delivered to, and brought it to me. I could not be happier. The package was pictures from 1998 I could never replace.
Thank you Manny for actually following through. It's easy to say so, but have many other things come up and we forget little old ladies and their missing packages. You dug a little deeper to see the delivery through.
You and your staff made my day and made it a memorable 50th Birthday.

YVONNE is so rude and dismissive when asking her the simplest of questions. No customer service skills what so ever.

Not sure why all the bad reviews but we came here recently and received good service by two different people. Although there was a bit of a lineup, we were in and out within 5 minutes. Very surprised how easy was to send a package across the country. Thanks!

I truly had an awful experience this evening and I am specifically referring to the treatment from the middle aged asian lady at the counter. I was genuinely struggling with a heavy package and she made it her mission to make sure I wouldn't be helped. I dropped the heavy package I was hauling into the post office several times in my attempts to bring it in, and when it was set on their glass counter, she barked at me and seemed more concerned with the glass than my well-being when it clearly was such a heavy item that was falling out of my arms. I even apologized for the package slamming the counter as I didn't intend for it to fall the way it did. The lady then made it her mission to make my life difficult. I offered to pay the difference in postage for a return package the company had not paid sufficiently for. Instead of empathizing with me she forced me to haul the very heavy package back out that I had clearly struggled to get in, and barked about how it is closing time, they could not help me, and to not slam things on their glass counter or I will have to pay for that. I am appalled and would never treat another person this way if I was in her position. Beware going to this location. They'll lie to you and get satisfaction out of not helping you for their own self justification. I hope you treat other people in a more humane way in the future lady.

After reading some of the reviews here, I did not have high hopes but boy were they incorrect! This was the quickest, most polite, sweetest staff, best customer service I’ve had at usps in quite awhile! Thank you’s are in order here! Yesterday 10June2024 was a great day to be a patron of this location because it made my day and several others that were in there at the same time as me. :)

The women who answered didn’t provide a name when she answered my call, and she was rude the whole time, had a attitude and tone not befitting of someone in customer service, and she hung up the minute she felt she resolved the issue, which she didn’t because she just provided me a number for the Hardeson Road location and nobody answers the phone there

My confirmation email for my passport appointment said that my appointment had been modified from 2:15 to 2:45. I thought that had meant they changed my time slot and not that it was 30min long appointment. I can see my mistake now but the verbiage of the confirmation email was strange. We showed up at 2:30 and no one was in the room until 2:40. When the woman showed up I explained my situation. She was very rude to me and started to raise her voice for missing my appointment. I didn’t deserve the way she treated me. Ironically the 2:45 that she was yelling at me about never did show up. I wouldn’t have stayed there a second longer even if it was to take the now open slot just so I could get away from her.

My jaw dropped…. All the comments are horrible to read, let alone you, firsthand were through something like this. I am so sorry for all those who have had traumatizing and horrible experiences. I don’t work for them however I emphasize with your experience and wish I could all be different.

After visiting this location, I felt so violated that no words can describe my experience. I just don't understand their attitude and the tone of their voice. I wasn't angry or yelling, but that's what I got from the employee for asking a valid question. Nothing was resolved, and I left only because the person helping me looked away and asked for the next person in line. There's got to be a better way. I almost wish Amazon took over the US mailing system or just about anybody but the usps. Looks like I won't be receiving my mail. Thank you for sending my mail to an unknown location.

I've tried with this place. There's a checkout lady who, I believe she also was working as a passport lady, name starts with a "G," she's the most impatient and rude person ever. Customer service is not a job she should be working in.

Was worried to see so many complaints about the passport service, but my experience was awesome! Maria probably is the best government employee I have ever worked with. Super courteous and friendly, would highly recommend!
