For the food bank: This place must have ppl working off community service hours. They are so slow I mean incredibly slower than any other food bank I have ever been to and then after you walk there and stand up outside in the heat or rain or whatever and wait in line for over 2 hours they will wait to tell you that you're not going to get anything at all and too bad if youre at the front of the line. They want to leave at 330 so close the gates and drop serving anyone after 3 not 330 like it says on their website etc. I'm front row parking disabled and in chronic pain and have nerve damage and it's very difficult for me to try to get there most days. I can't do it anymore. They give you less food and zero choices and are sometimes just very rude to people and don't care about them. I have food allergies and can hardly eat any of what I get there if I actually get food ever before they run out early and stop giving out food at 1pm so I strongly suggest going early as possible. If I say I am having an emergency and it's not safe at my house they told me to go to the library to use the phone to call the police. The library told me maybe I could in 45 min. Then I tried the police station and waited even longer til I left. F this town there is no salvation here. Go anywhere else. VOA is better. At least they let you in to have some choices over what you're getting and they are always much nicer. I even saw the regular ladies being mean to the new volunteer girl who was actually being nice to us peasants in public lol. They are mean to clients I expect that but the poor nice new girl is going to quit. Any other place than here really. I go because I can't walk my food farther. I do not like the way I have regularly seen them treat people and some people I know absolutely refuse to ever try to go back again. Standing room outside only and in any weather no bathroom. Prepare. Wear skirt with no panties if you are elderly or pregnant etc. on the plus side there is handicapped parallel parking and you can bring your dog with you on the lawn.

One of my sons and myself decided to check out this organization to get a little help with a bit of food it has changed since I was there maybe 20 years ago and they're still kind of like doing the covid thing where you come to the door and you're separated from the rest of the facility they do have lunch between 1:00 and 1:30 so take note of that it's not a long wait you know there's the yard you can sit in or what have you the only problem is is I have a disability with nerve damage so it's very very painful for me to stand in one spot for long periods of time I feel that maybe they're understaffed because my weight for maybe five people ahead of me was literally 2 hours long and God bless the people that work there and the ones that donate but hey if you ever feel like reaching out to a nonprofit organization or you need to help somebody I think it would be the perfect thing to ask them do you need help in the warehouse or do you need help you know serving clients or what have you my family is very grateful for the assistance that we did receive on a temporary time it worked out pretty well and my kids did receive a lot of nutritional good things that they would choose themselves now that was only a random day that was not one of their food boxes that they serve two times a month

I am forever grateful to all of the amazing people who have helped my boyfriend and I find somewhere safe to call home for the time being. Sure, it may be temporary but we are safe and warm and have AC when it's hot. We have warm showers, a comfy, soft, LARGE bed to rest in. I'm so grateful to no longer be homeless and living on the streets or living in broken down vehicles, constantly pushing our vehicles to yet ANOTHER parking space for a short period of time. My boyfriend has been in and out of hospitals and ERs for the past year and now FINALLY he is recovering and may actually be able to stay OUT of the ER and stay in OUR bed. So thankful to all of you who make all of this possible. I will pay it forward one day when the moments arise. I promise you ♡ God Bless #FinallyHome2024 #IGotMyHopeBack #ExcitedForTheFuture2024 #June2024 #OurVeryFirstFourthOfJuly #FinallySafe #ForeverGrateful #ILoveDavidHawkins

If you should use their food bank, it is easier than other options in town. ID is optional but makes it easier. And standing in line there is usually a social occasion.
